Perodua Discontinues Order Tracking Page?

Perodua used to have an order tracking lookup page here. What you do is you put in your VSO (Vehicle Sales Order) number and you can check out the status of your order. This VSO is available if you made your Perodua vehicle booking through a Perodua branch instead of a Perodua dealer.

But as of 29th June 2005, the page now generates a 404 Object Not Found Error.

Why? With the long waiting list for the Perodua Myvi, it’s definitely beneficial for Myvi bookers to be able to check on their orders online instead of bugging their Sales Agents every single day. Is this a temporary glitch or is it permanent?

29-06-2005: Naza to produce local Peugeot 206 variant

    By Doreen Leong

Naza Corporation Sdn Bhd plans to manufacture a local variant of Peugeot 206 by 2006 at its plant in Gurun in Kedah for distribution under the Naza brand, following the inking of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Automobiles Peugeot of France.

In a statement on June 29, the local carmaker said the MoU marked the first step towards a joint venture between the two.

“This vehicle should provide immediate opportunities not only on the domestic market, but also for exports in the right-hand drive Asean growing markets,” it said.

Naza and Peugeot have appointed Cycle and Carriage Automobiles to provide the after-sales support, riding on its established network.

Naza also said it planned to manufacture Naza cars in Bertam. Currently the group manufactures Naza Ria, Malaysia’s first national multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and Naza Citra in its plant in Gurun.

Naza’s subsidiaries represent various marques such as Mercedes Benz, KIA, Peugeot, Bentley, Ferrari and Maserati. The group became a full-fledged auto assembler when it launched Kia Spectra in 2001.

On June 28, Naza launched its RM80 million Auto Mall, the biggest automotive showroom in the country.
