u stupid la sawi batang putih…how come u say ur satria wit cyborg bodykit looks better than srm…that cyborg model is outdated oready maa..this srm really looks cool beb…im gonna buy it for sure..my friend at proton said it come with cps(camshaft profile system)something like vtec…fuiyooo.im sure it will be a vtec killer…proton is the best,forget the rest.

I do agree with u blast. For almost ten years there’s no one from proton who dare to change the shape and the design of wira and satria. Sometimes they do make a new face lift for them but only at the ‘lambang ‘ and front grill. Is it worth to buy it. You spent for about 40k for wira. Then what u get????
I hope with this new design like proton Gen2, savvy and this SRM will open up a dawn for Malaysian that is worth to buy a proton car rather that impoted ones. But We also hope that the engine, body,safety and other special feature will be included so that we are not ashamed of having it………………..

The interior is nothing like the Gen.2

The car is not associated to the Gen.2. It is a separate model line (technically they do share the underpinings and driveline) and it has its own marketing aim.

Proton will stop coming out with many versions of a model (like Wira sedan, Wira Aeroback, Wira SAtria, etc). You will never see a sedan Gen.2 or a four door SRM. But a wagon Waja? Hmmm…something to think about.

A four door SRM? If its a four door, it wont be a Satria. SAtria will always be a 3-door car, CHeck out SRM’s glass area and belt line, they all mimic the old Satria. This is to relate the new design to its roots.

SRM will obviously have a GTi version. Many engines are considered.

Proton main problem is QC and some design weaknesses (ergonomics n user friendliness). Ride and handling should never be a problem. Engine wise, the Campro should now come with its long overdued CPS technology and please try to make it a bit quieter.

Proton, stop using JRD’s rims. If you still want their rims, get a better design. this fan-blade design was cool WHEN you started designing the car. 4 years have passed now dude and these rims are passe. Sudah jadi style zaman pak kaduk. Get some new design la. The old Monoblock rims like the first gen Wira is nice, but since the SRM comes with standard 16-inch wheels, it should look a lot better!

I believe the picture was taken at Esso petrol station Bt. Tiga situated along the Federal Highway. I saw one of it coming out from residential area at Puncak Perdana Shah Alam. Its look weird, all black, so many tape, and aiyoo its SRM, but to late to take any picture.
Zool, I agree with you about the tyre and sport rims, I stick with original rims and I don’t really care about how it looks as long as the tyre cheap, low FC, its enough and no frills.But my saving goes to ICE..huhu.

Very nice car, no problems with the rims. My 4 year wira has original steel rims… don’t have any desire to change to sports rim cos bigger tyre cost more. My tyres cost only RM 95 each but my wife’s kelisa (14 inch low profile)cost RM 130 each. This kelisa comes with original steel rims. Not eveyone wants sports rims or bigger rims. Not everyone wants higher cc engines… thus proton should not forget those with limited budget who wants to get around with just a SRM with1.3 campro and 13 inch steel rims.,,, a no frills car.
