At least when asked, how much they invested in R&D, they got some figure to give… i think trucks should be fine for campro… at least sound and other quality issues wouldnt be of much problem with them… jes raw power… hahaha…

I for one think it's an encouraging sign.

In the US there's massive amount of research invested in basic sciences, which does not directly relate to a specific end product, but the knowledge gained from such research nevertheless contributes to the development of products spanning different application areas. It is conceivable that the marine engine research project will helps Proton design better engines.

It's fair to criticise Proton, but I think a Pavlovian negative response to every Proton initiative serves no useful purpose.
