Toyota MR2 Jet Turbine

Now this is some seriously crazy stuff. This Toyota MR2 has been fitted with a turbine propelsion system. No, not turbo turbines but jet turbines! Thrust is powered by twin GE T-58 turbines, coupled with 4 fuel tanks, power steering, power brakes and a whole lot of security features like fire supression and roll-over protection.

The seller says the car originally did not have the wing to provide downforce and it wanted to take off at 225km/h but after adding the wings it stayed solid on the ground until 300km/h.

Naturally the car goes forward only. No reverse gear available. LOL!

Sounds crazy doesn’t it?

Check out the Ebay auction here. The auction has ended and it was sold for US $20,100.00.
