I have a bad experience with the new honda city. In 7 month I have to change windscreen twice. Its seems that the quality of this car not as tough as its japanese competitor.
My windscreen just cracked from the side pilar when I parked the car. The 1st incident, Honda USJ told me I can claim for warranty for that as the crack sign doesn’t have any impact sign. But It take around 2 weeks to get warranty approval. So I decided to use my insurance. Before I topped up my insurance, and who will expect that it will crack again in just 3 month, in the same spot. When I tried to claim warranty, they said I couldn’t do it as the crack got the chip sign (eventhough the sign not more than 0.5 mm). Is the honda windscreen so brittle that it will crack just with an impact by a very small material ? Its not the case with my other japanese car. I feel confident driving my other car as I believe the widscreen will give me protection as what it is suppose to be. But in honda city ????.
They dont want to consider bad quality or something wrong with my pilar as the crack is on the same spot.
So, you can think about this before deciding on honda city. The looks & brand doesn’t give you a warranty about the quality…whether the car quality or the windscreen quality…

In S’pore, CITY is priced around S$10,000 higher than Vios. Test drive both and ended up paying S$10K more. What else can I say about Vios!?

I plan to purchase the CT VTEC. But close to 90 grand, I would like to know whether it is worth it. SOHC VTEC is not as powerful as DOHC VTEC, but from specifications by manufacturer, it seems that it beats the VVT-i of VIOS in terms of power. I have not seen the torque curve so cant really tell which is the better engine. Have to remember that peak power does not guarantee better performance overall.

Any suggestion or advice from current CT owners would be welcome here. Oh and VIOS owners can give input also. I would like to hear from both sides.

Those people that critic a lot here. Have u ever seen the actual car? I saw before. It is really nice, esp vtec! Don’t critic too much! You only afford to own which type of car accrding to your budget. Who does not want Ferrari F430? But do u afford?

people who dont have it will definitely say its like a fish or what eva.

A new look Honda City look 2 good then old one. I dont know when it will come 2 Pakistan & How much it cost. I think with this new Honda City Zx , Honda will capture more market share in Pakistan.

I agree, the new Honda City rear light is too big but no comment for front part.

The new or current Honda City shape design is a modern design which is not suitable for old thinker. Why some people keep on talking all the nonsence when they don’t accept the modern design & never notice the good point of this car.

The whole car cutting gap is neater then Vios plus especially the foldable back seat & boot spacing is so convenient than other expensive cars that do not have the features. 3 gear type of driving function ” CVT, Auto & Manual ” from this price only ! what do you want more ?

Honda City driving uphill using CVT gear type is powerful & smoother than 1.8 cars, fuel saving consumption is excellent.

WHY WE NEED A CAR ? FOR FUN ? FOR SPEEDING ? FOR JUST TALK ? or FOR USEFUL & CONVENIENT ? YOU THINK ABOUT IT ?

when it was first launch 2 yrs ago, I really think it looked weird…but then, now I think the existing model looks cool. “Flowerhorn” is really kool.
And the latest model looks even better…! I really like it because of the internal improvements which you dont know (and most salesman dont tell) unless you read the manaul.

i have been to honda showroom today and quite impressed with the new city..well..i can say it has been improved in terms of the design..i need to decide asap to buy it or not..hope can get it before raya…

it looks more ‘aggressive’ now…i think the vTEC exhaust is cool, the only slight disappointment is that the vtec no longer has foldable backseats…

when will new VIOS come out?

I have seen the new Honda City and I got to know that it is more than a mere cosmetic change. There are so many “internal” changes that is not publicised…they made the steering harder at high speed but lighter when parking…also they made the body stronger I think..and the ekzos pipe…and the side windows can now flip….added one reading lamp inside…lessen the noise from outside…among others….my problem now is only $$$$$..

who can give me $$$$$ to buy Honda CT.

Thanks to Honda Malaysia for bringing in the City. I’ve been driving the City for the past one and a half years and it gives me no trouble at all. Though many view it as ugly, the City still proves to be reliable and economical compared to our so called National cars, lawa saja but lack of quality. So,hidup City!!

i just do not understand why they do not want to strighten the front part….It looks like a HONDA JAZZ added with a tail….It just looks so weird and it’s like a handicapped car….incomplete…something is missing out there. One more thing, there’s not much changes overall, just added some ‘cool’ taillights and changes the front light a bit, just like a human changes the hair style only and not the image changes.

I had place my booking on CITY… Just got to know VIOS is launching it’s new facelift as well. Unfortunately it didn’t improve the point that I need. I like Toyota but I have no choice but to carry on with CITY in this case.

hmm.. i still prefer the Honda City.. its improving!!! the looks are really amazing.. much look like the Civic..

oh guys, come on!! this is the characteristic of the car.. every car has its own characteristic.. the rear looks like this coz it can carry more things behind!!!
i think this is a good family car..

it looks even better after being equipeed with skirts, spoiler and big inch rims. i think after modified, it looks far better than the vios. (at least the car does not have centered meter display)

for me, definitely i will give higher points than the vios. HONDA.. GAMBATE!!!
