2007 Nissan Versa

Nissan will be releasing a new compact sedan and hatchback in the USA targetted at the Scion-buyer market. The hatch version will look much like this Nissan Sports Compact concept. It’s obvious there are alot of Renault-influenced styling cues.

The Nissan Versa will be equipped with a 120hp 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine. This will be mated to a CVT transmission.

The sedan form of the Versa will be a sedan version of the Nissan Tiida compact. Production is expected to begin in 2006.

Received pictures of this Nissan hatchback a few months ago. Got to say it really looks awesome and the interior along with the Civic SI has the looks to kill. I think its still really far from debut but it looks like it would be running an FF chassis.

The hatch market is really growing. I wonder how this will fair against the EP3 Type R and Hyundai Accent SV 200hp Turbo which Paul just reviewed recently. Certainly hope it comes to our shores

We really can’t compare Proton to these ppl lar. They have so much experience.. So naturally the cars they design are going to be better.

But..Hot Hatches are really popular now ain’t it? I absolutely love them , but a friend of mine complained that hatches have no sporty look or whatsoever , Well I guess this can prove him wrong.

    I love Hatches.

pergh..!!! Realistic! Fantastic! Bombastic! the interior design is superp! the dashboard…my..my..my..looks futuristic and yet elegant.

however, i just couldn’t accept any car with 3 doors concept..why? just imagine when the car get into an acciddent (serious one)…how the heck the pasenggers at the back have to escape if the car is getting on fire? just an example…

looks so sweet ^_^.i wonder how much it will cost.

i just check price of toyota echo/vitz/yaris today
    waaaaaaaa over 100K

i hope this will come reasonably but i doubt it..

is it me or the radio part looks like a savvy?

True true, but the fact that these kind of cars were not exactly meant to ferry 4 people at the same time. Its kinda meant to be only a 2 seater. Still Selipar has a point there by saying what if something caught fire. I guess 3 door cars will always be around. Its all about improvement on safety issues.

In overall good, only two areas not like it.

    1) Side Door mirror: Why Supporting adding? Vibrate problems? This will not passed the NAS (US regulation).

    2) The seats: Those seat looks like SHOWING your center finger UP!! NAH!!

    Don’t you think SO?

I think this is a hot car, but come on now, 120HP??? I wish it would come as a sport model with more HP to it…If they make it so stylish how come they can’t mix in the power as well? I’d get it but only if it were offered in a faster model.
