The SUV craze. I don’t have to introduce this phenomenon to you anymore. Heh. Porsche’s Cayenne was a hit and Lamborghini has plans now to emulate the success with a luxury SUV of it’s own.
Lamborghini originally made tractors, and the famous Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. you know today was actually a spin-off from company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s successful company Lamborghini Trattori S.p.A.
There are a few stories on how a tractor builder started to build sports cars. It is said that Ferruccio Lamborghini met Enzo Ferrari at a party, and like all car freaks they started talking about cars. Lamborghini pointed out a few things about Ferrari’s sports cars that he did not quite like, and hot-headed Enzo did not really respond very well to criticism, saying “If you don’t like the way I build my cars, why don’t you go build one in that tractor factory of yours.” Lamborghini took it seriously.
Back to the story at hand, Lamborghini’s president Stephan Winklemann announced the Lamborghini SUV project, which would likely be based on Audi’s Q7 (which also shares a platform with the Porsche Cayenne and Volkwagen Touareg) or the Audi Q5.
Lamborghini could use the 5.2 litre V10 used in the Audi S8 (derived from the Lamborghini Gallardo 5.0 V10) since it’s already been tweaked to haul around weight with high torque instead of all-out horsepower.

Nice SUV. I want to add rocket launchers & gatling gun too. Some desert camo painting & carbon-based armour plating will also help.
I still think the LM002 is the meanest SUV Lambo ever made. It has a 8 litre V12 engine as an option!! It make the even the Humvee seems like a sissy!!

5.2 liter V10! Have some mercy on our earth! This thing really do not need any rocket launchers or gatling gun to do any damage, it will kill the planet simply by running on the road.

i like for good … lamborghini allways has that succes about to put a amount of "lambo spirit" in their desings and finally in their cars. This SUV share several elements whit his sporter cousin the murcielago… like the big deep wheels, the incredible headlighst characteristic of the lamborghinis (angeleyezed looks supreme) the airtakers on front… the fenders are indispensable to give this car his "tank look" only thing i think that doesnt look good or … out of concept is the mirrors, mmmmh that circular shape, i dont know i would love to that lamb put the same squeare shape on it and put it in other place of the car maybe over the head fenders like the olds range rovers… but generally the desing is great. i hope XD the company wont christen it with a shitty name like the newest rebenton.. xd well great seeyya
Hello…guys, this is NOT what it looks like! Can you read????? They will not show it until later this year. The concept isn't even being tested as they will release it, it is being masked. Can't believe anyone would put so much time into analyzing an artist rendering of what "might be"! RELAX and wait for what it really looks like before you start bashing…or getting excited!
