The Road Angels

I’ve come across this pretty interesting service called the Road Angels so I thought I’d introduce them to you here, since all of you probably have cars and there’s a chance you’d get into a situation where you’ll need them.

Let’s say you’re in a car, driving somewhere, and you can’t drive for some reason. Maybe you’re drunk (highly possible), maybe you lost your glasses and can’t see in the dark, maybe you’re lost. Maybe you’re female and you don’t feel safe driving home alone at night. Whatever the reason. Give the Road Angels a call and two Road Angels will come by on a motorcycle. One will drive for you, and the other will follow by motorcycle.

Teams are stationed in areas like the Golden triangle, Ampang, Cheras, PJ, Subang, Bangsar, Sri Hartamas, D’sara, Taman Tun, Jln Kelang Lama and Jnl Sungei Besi. As for destinations, borders are Kajang in the south, Rawang in the north, Gombak in the west and Klang in the east.

The fees are pretty acceptable especially when you’re drunk. Safety is priority, you don’t want to crash and kill yourself or kill someone else, and you don’t want to get hauled off to the police station if you’re caught driving under the influence of alcohol. First 20km is RM30, and every next 15km is RM10. There are also some other charges depending on the trip.

Operating hours are Monday to Sunday 9pm to 4am, and 24×7 service is said to be coming soon. For more information log on to their website at http://www.roadangels.com.my/

It really wouldn’t hurt to keep information on how to contact them in your wallet or something just in case you need their services one rainy day. Touch wood!

hey, i have seen the similiar service in the top gear programme. The 'road angels' will travel to the customer destination by a foldable motobike (in london). I think this is absolutely a good service and effort in decreasing the fatal road accident and open more job oppurntunity to the local. Meanwhile, road angels have the chances to drive some rare and exotic cars if… he'she is lucky..hehehe..good job..hey paul r u joining this team??

seems the public are quite wary abt their services now. maybe transparency of their company will boost the image. boozers' best friend is road angels… lol!
