Many says Chinese cars sucks but Proton is worse. This particular model (A520 -with 2.0 litre engine) is quite good. The other day, thru my own fault, the aircond condenser is spoiled coz I whack something and when I send it to the workshop, they told me they just use Toyota Corolla parts, modified a bit and do the repair/replacement - problem solved... I couldn't be more happier. I never regret with this car and if I can reverse the time back to the past, I think I will still buy the same car. As to Chery's marketing gig, i strongly suggest to Wuhu Chery Industrial to start applying for international trademark of IPO's as someday, they will come up with a design other high-end automakers would copy. They should not position or mention themselves as competitors of BMW or Audi but instead, set the pace in its own class because the factors that make chery cars cheaper than well-established cars are the name and the level of profit required by the manufacturer. Why do you think would make Mercedes Benz/Maclaren compete in the F1 if not for the prestige but isn't it the V and A class are made in Spain while the C and E classes are made in S.Africa instead of Zindelfigen or Stuttgard?
