Just ordered a 5 door DSG in Steel Grey. Was not sure about the DSG so we were offered a test drive in an R32 with DSG. Decision made!! Expensive option at £1330.00 but if we keep the car 4 years then I figure it's only £332 per year, plus the paddle shift on the m/f steering wheel is good too, he-he. Here is a question though: Why are SEAT only charging £900 for the DSG on their 240 bhp Leon Cupra and VW can charge £1330. I am willing to bet they are the self same gearboxes.
PS. Anyone interested in a Silver 22,000 mile 25th. Anniversary Golf which has had one very careful owner (my wife). It is absolutely spotless and has cruise control as one of the options. Will be available Feb/March. Merry X'mas to you all.

[...] The SEAT Leon Cupra introduces to us a new 240 horses version of the Volkswagen AG 2.0 liter Turbo FSI engine that usually makes only 200 in the Golf GTI. This does not count special editions like the Golf GTI Edition 30 which has the same engine tuned to make 230 horses. This might give us a view to what a refreshed Golf GTI’s engine will be producing, since even the Golf R32 will be replaced with an R36 that makes more power. Anyway, I digress, this is supposed to be about the Leon Cupra! [...]

Totally agreed with you guys. If i can only have 1 car, 1 car only, it will be a Golf Gti MK V DSG. we have a 280hp Gti running around here, up north.

smooth high quality car. interesting to read that motor journalists compare the handling to be as sure footed as the WRX. but with the added luxury

the rims would still look better with the original color.

Golf is always a good sport compact... that's why it can be sold for 30 yrs without changing the name... My friend said he drove an old Golf before... is a stock Golf.... the engine still powerful without any tunings inside... thumbs up for VW... hehe...

Not much different from the standard model. But recognizable. But I think can be easily immitated by the standard version.

30 years??? And they never change their name. Hmmm...makes me wonder why did that "particular automaker" wants to change their hot hatch name. Identity crisis? Bloody ^&%$*&^%&*^!!!!
