Do you guys know that when Ford WRC team goes and recce a WRC stage, they used to use a Volvo S60 modified to WRC specs?

Unbelievable, isn't it? But yes, it's true. Don't know why Volvo hardly publicise it, maybe coz it will take away some premium value from the car if they do.

The Heico car looks mighty good. I wonder what company build the car? Surely Heico asked some motorsport preparation company to do up the car for them..

Anyway, the standard S40 sold here doesn't feel that good to drive actually, despite it looking good as a baby Volvo. Try it and see

Nice. But personally, I'd prefer Evolve tuned Volvo for SEMA as it look much more mature. I think its the S60. This S40 looks a bit like a clown to me with shoes too big for its body. But I guess they needed it to put the power down to the ground. More of a track car than for daily use.

But nowadays, here in Malaysia I see quite a few young people driving Volvo. It maybe an uncle car. Maybe it was just pentioned school Headmaster 240 Volvo. But with RB20-26 you should think twice to chase them on the highway. In some Scandinavian country they even drift with Volvo. Have you seen them drift a 740GLE?

I remember sometimes ago our local auto mag featured a souped up S40 (older model). Not bad. It has shown that, Volvo is now slowly winning the younger generation. Well done for all the participating tuner house.

Darn!!! I'm drooling man. Thanks Paul for the post, though volvo lovers (READ – fan of volvo; not our volvolover friend:)) can alwayz googled for tuned-up bricks, I'd say such post in paultan.org will create more added value healthy discussions on the bricks.

Just like what Jeffrey1977 said – still looks like uncle's car. Well, I must say I disagree – but like they said, beauty is in the eye's of the beholder.

Still to bad, to have this HEICO tuned S40 here will cost a bomb here in Bolehland.

the name ODIN reminds me of THOR The Thunder God,and also Asguard…but at a glance,the car still looks "stock car" despite of being extensively tuned up (with the visible roll cage..)

wow, the wheels are HUGE! nearly touch the wheel arch. i guess the suspension must be very very stiff.
