GETZ SE preformance wise is okay. The fitting of the sport rear and front bumper is poor. It does not fit well. It woul be much better to have it with the original bumper. Looking at the poor fitting I think RM60K plus is a bit too expensive.

i already bought getz 1.4 only rm53000 on roadshow…i got GPS…getz is much better than waja…i already sold my waja for getz…although its a 1.4 engine, but the driving experience is much better than waja…getz is sound proof, the suspension is really smooth, accelaration is better, the body is much heavier and much safety than waja because the crash test NCAP is 4 star.

I saw this discussion in 2006. I'm seeing on Getz 2008 model 1.4 GL Special Edition (SE) with no ABS and only front wheel disc break but the price RM63k++ OTR.

of the locally rebadged foreign cars, i think inokom has done a good job at giving good quality cars at an affordable price.too bad inokom does not have the rights to the other hyundai models such as accent,sonata etc. if they rebadged the accent and sell at 40K, sure p1 p2 go bust.

alan2006, like I said, it DOES come with 4 disc brakes. Both the CBU & CKD do.

It's seemingly similar to the new Kia Rio already, except for the shell and minor interior.

With MyVi priced at RM 50K and to protect national interests, the Getz should be priced around RM 58,888 as stated in the blog.

Hopefully its not as noisy as the Daihatsu engine. Looks wise, its not as bulky too. Will certainly give MyVi a fight.

I hope it comes with 4 disc brakes as the current 1.3 Getz has only two.

RM50k or below, where do you think MyVi would stand? This is a 1.4 with 4-disc brake and the std safety accessories. Besides, it's not even National Car status, so don't expect lower price.

yes better get the Waja as Proton cars all comes with more accessories… 58k for Waja with power window problem at the same same time the salesman handover the carkeys.

we cant blame the car becuase of the pricing, we should also consider second hand value, buy a Waja then afetr 1 year price going down like hell, my humble advice will be make longer list of consideration not only the price at initial buy.long terms short terms satisfaction global perception respect prestigious etc etc

If they go lower and fight head one with Neo, then it will be really interesting to see. Quite similar in size and also slightly better engine capacity.

At 58k, it still give Waja to sell on 1.6 engine. At 1.4 (which almost make little difference to 1.3), even I a non Proton Supporter will go for Waja. Another consideration is also the size of the car.

With RM58k and score third in J.D. Power Malaysia Quality Study 2005, standard ABS, and driver airbag. I probably will consider this car, the exterior is okay, but the car needs better interior…

Agreed, u can get a Manual Waja Campro with dual airbags and ABS with EBD at RM59K.

But, this facelifted Getz looks tempting. If i can remember, it scored 4 out of 5 stars in the Euro NCAP crash test. Amazing!!!

Agreed. Somemore at 58k u get a 1.6 engine. Inokom need to work on the pricing strategy a bit more. Price it at 50k would be a better bet.
