In other places, cars are cheap and only a portion of your yearly income. A Honda Civic is 70% of a person's after tax income in North America if you are working as an entry lvl executive. You could have more than one car..... A weekend car with no top and 2 seats, and a regular family sedan....both in total not costing more than 40k USD. Most people earn that much in a year. Our market here is even worst than being jsut small. The majority of car purchases only want a certain type of cars. Cars other than your standard fair 4 door sedan (for some odd reason, people here like a boot) and MPV wont sell well. 2 door cars dont sell well. Station wagon dont sell well, sport hatches don't sell well. No manufacturer is going to bring in special models due to the small market here. I've driven the Accord Coupe with the 3.0L 6 speed.
