Yeah. I think we all agree that the design study should remain just that - a design study. The four-door cabriolet looks very 1990s and it doesn't go down well with the current Merc design theme.

In fact, with the roof off, the car just look fragile (very possible scuttle shake) adn downright clumsy.

Think again, DaimlerChrysler!

I bet my arse that, once officially launched, this car would feature in every rapper's video clip. Or hip-hop. Shit-hop. Whatever they choose to call it. Wearing clothes that can fit 2 persons, with a bandana over their head, big-arse chains wrapping their necks, and driving this topless Merc around downtown New York, muttering seemingly endless words without any sense of melody at all. :D

The wheels and color scheme doesn't go well with the car..
Feel retro-tish, and the black top does not goes well with the car' exterior color too.

looklike Benz want a share from Rolls(which is own by BMW)

Rolls have 10?EX, now Benz also have S-Cabrio? SEL? or what? Ocean Drive...? ha ha ha.... NICE TRY!

IMHO, if someone have this kind of $ for a topless, sure they have extra to go for the Rolls topless.... they'll forget about Maybach(no topless) too...

for me is that, when going 'Ocean Cruising', the most that matters is the topless girl beside me, but i am not sure about the topless big bulky cabriolet sedan.

ahahahhahahahah~hahahahaahahaha

well, lets move into another serious note.

pillarless windows and no B-pillar, they are the only things that appeal to me.

The front grille design looks similar to older Benz models, though overall the car looks more upmarket, like something you'll get from Maybach. Soft top still a no no.

Nah, they should just market it as a cheaper Maybach and sell it at 200% more.

4 door convertibles are a bit pointless. If you are going to a nice scenic drive with your significant other, why would you want to have two 'lamps' behind you.

2 door 4 seat convertables maybe, but 4 doors are 2 too many.

I would pity the engineers trying to reinforce that long wheelbase after lopping off the roof.

I agree, traces of the Rolls Royce 101EX headlights can be found on this Mercedes Concept Ocean Drive and brake lamps that look like they came from a USDM Honda Civic SI.

It does have lovely lines though I must admit.
