Concept:

Inspired by open wheel hot rods of the 50’s combined with the sporty roadsters of today, this hybrid vehicle is designed to capture the spirit of driving pleasure with the efficiency of a modern compact.

Construction:

Taking advantage of recycled plastics for all the paneling over the aluminum and carbon fiber frame underneath. Interior fabrics are made from synthetics and recycled plastics as well.

Features:

The front fenders are attached to the wheel axels and pivot with the steering, allowing the headlights to illuminate the heading of the vehicle. The lower panel of the doors are windows that give driver and passenger an added sensation of closeness to the road.

The open cockpit design provides the sensation of a convertible while the cantilevered moon roof gives protection against light elements.

Overall the combination of design and materials along with the fuel efficiency of hybrid technology makes the Plaire a great weekend car as well as a weekday commuter.

I wonder this type of design will take how long to become practical in production and common on the road ? :)

concept doesnt necesarilly have to be practical, it is where the designers inspired to push their creativity and possibility in a form of models,

perhaps just only few of design cues are brought into production, or leave it as a concept for the next conept review

this is a quest ,not a copy.

I like how the headlamps on the front fenders turn with the wheels.

This car is so not practical on Malaysian roads. In the future, it may be practical in germany's supercar-friendly autobahn.

Damn I love those huge wheels & slightly protruding wide tyres.

this is strictly going to be a concept car. it is a competition where the winner's concept will be built for the 2007 paris (if im not mistaken) motor show. and the winner will recieve an Xbox360. problem is with the way peugeot cars are going, this might not be a winner. its not sensible enough i guess.

kinda reminds me of the Lexus cars they use in the movie Minority Report. you would think that a big bulky muscular person will be driving this thing…cool!
