If this new design holds true, my faith will be restored. They would have taken the best from the e-39 5 series spliced together with the current 3-series coupe. Very handsome indeed. Really looks like it. Maybe BMW was thinking, let's play with numbers... The 5-series is in the middle of the 3 and the 7 and 3+7=10 so to get a somewhat middle value that would be 10/2 which gives you 5, and voila, the new 5-series...
