Japanese car manufacturers seems to have decided Geneva is the place to showcase the possible successors to their flagship hybrid models. Toyota showed the Hybrid X. Now we take a look at Honda, who showed us what might be the next Honda Insight, a little red concept car creatively named Honda Small Hybrid Sports Concept.

The Honda Small Hybrid Sports Concept uses a 4-cylinder IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) engine coupled with a hybrid electric motor and sends power to the front wheels via a CVT transmission. The body has been designed to put emphasis on low drag to the extent of even doing away with side mirrors, using camera instead. 165/60/R20 tyres on 20 inch wheels provide low rolling resistance, further saving fuel.

More 3D models and artist sketches after the jump.

Looks like a concept car from the late 90s to early 2000s. A simple design that looks bland, except for the curving & transparent roofline.

its a concept car.. built purely to show their capability.. if 165/60/R20 tyres are what will give them the best fuel economy, thats what they will put on.. it doesnt matter if its selling in your local tyre shop or not.

A concept car is designed without the boundaries of the "real world". thats why its called a concept.

The headlamps look almost non-existent, and the body looks like it couldn't decide whether to be boxy or curvy. Honda screwed up the exteriors haha.
