Audi officials have hinted of a convertible version of the sleek Audi A5 coupe that might hit the market next year. While Audi clearly has access to coupe-convertible technology, as Volkswagen has implemented it in it’s Volkswagen Eos coupe convertible, Audi says it is most likely that the Audi A5 convertible will be a soft top instead of having an automatic hard top.
A more hardcore performance version of the Audi S5 is also in the works, to be called the Audi RS5. The S5 to begin with is a performance A5, so that’s two levels of tune-up!

holly.. RS5? godness.. bmw have to pray hard or else this new machine will take over M3. i can picture it being a mean machine and a top seller in th UK.
currently M3 are flooding the streets in UK. being located in aberdeen, i see a M3 everywhere i go. so BMW GmbH.. get ready for a tough ride!

I would love to see an RS4 Convertible parked next to a RS5 convertible. Guess Ferdinand Piech haven't fired anyone from Audi yet.
V_NoZ, I'm based in Sunderland up north UK. Seen lots of M3s moving around, even M5s. Coupe Ci are more than mercedes… it's like usual cars that most ppl can afford… Audi.. not seen many here in Sunderland… Well, I'm a BMW die hard fan as well!
Audi is certainly moving up the ranks.
The boys from Bavaria and Stuggart had better be prepared.
It will be a rough ride for all but I love challenges like these.

apparently, Audi will only be making one RS model at a time. So, since the RS6 is out already, so i guess we’ll have to wait awhile before an RS5 comes…
