last time we saw 4 dr panamerica in the making, not really to my like
look at this ‘kayen’ ,i really happy if porsche use cayenne as a concept for a true 4dr porsche sedan,
-smaller with rear trunk.

Yea, and I know what’s wrong with the steering wheel; it looks like an underwear :p

I still think the car looks hideous after the facelift, not much different from the previous one, the Mercedes ML looks better.

Paul, do you have a very serious liking for this car or what? This is the longest post I’ve seen in my nearly 2 years here! I had to press the page down button *ahem* 93 times (yes i admit i was very bored, and very free, at the time of writing) before i reached the first comment!

All Premium SUV are monsters. Range Rovers, BMW X5, Merc MLs.. but hey the market (those who can afford) love them.

Back To Topic.
The 07 Cayennes are a much better looking and packaged than the previous car. Still not as good looking as rivals Range Rover Sports or X5 but with the Porsche badge they’d do well. After all Cayennes were Porsche’s best seller for a couple of years.

Heavy isn’t the only thing it looks. The previous Cayenne was a hideous monster thing. This new one is no different. But purely as a machine is has some pretty serious engineering, as do all Porsches.

But, if I could have and wanted a laviathan like 4×4, I would get the V8 Range Rover.

Great write-up, Paul.

Very precise and detailed information.

The Cayenne is indeed one real heavy machine. The looks tell it all. As a mtter of fact, it is the only SUV which looks heavy to the naked eye itself compared ot its other counterparts.

However design-wise, I’d still go for the Touareg. Its sleekness still enthralls me.

Though both really show true off-road capabilities as well as giving the convenience of urban driving.

actually i disagree with your statement. i drove the previous cayenne 3.2 v6 which has about half the 500hp power of this new facelift’s turbo model and it felt like it was only just right, however having porsche badge on the front makes me feel its underpowered. i suppose this car is seriously heavy.
