stewie20068:

Sorry to confuse you, what i really meant was that cars like the 350Z do not have a direct port over to an Infiniti model. The G35 was never a true sports car like the 350Z was. It was more of a powerful sports coupe but not sports car material.

The 350Z does not even look remarkably close to the G35. Body size, fenders, lights and misc features look different. The Infiniti G35 actually looks like the Nissan V35 not the 350Z.

Like i stated, Infiniti has never really built a true sports coupe, more like fast luxury coupes. Plus, Infiniti's cars were never really under Nissan's jurisdiction. It may not automatically be the Nissan 370Z. The Z33 350Z's successor will only be determined by Nissan.

Perhaps the only thing that is closest to the development of the next generation 350Z here would be the VQ37 engine. Other than that, it is just a really powerful Nissan V35/Infiniti G35.

I'm a little confused by what cbljkkj is saying? never been an infiniti like the 350z? the G35 basically is the 350Z. I'm sure a 370Z will follow quite soon. Hopefully it looks a little better. It's weird how the front of the G37 is so curvy while the rear is so flat. I'm just not a big fan of the styling. But hey who can pass up that new engine.

Umm the 350Z is a Nissan not an Infiniti. I don't even think that there is a Nissan equivalent to this Infiniti G37. Even if it would come out, it would definitely be after the G37 equivalent.

And so far up to date, there has never been a manufactured Infiniti sports car like the 350Z. Only sport coupes

Cool, I suppose this might also be the possible Skyline GTR engine? It definately looks great on paper and suprised with the fuel economy, I suppose it might be better than the Fairlady/350Z
