rs4 vs m3?

performance is about the same so it comes down to how it rewards the driver or rather how the driver wants to be rewarded.

somehow the 335i coupe looks better. and yes i beleive the rs4 looks better as well even though im a bmw fan.

RS4 vs M3?

I think it'll be close. The power-to-weight war will probably be won by the M3 (the RS4 has all these additional bits underneath for its 4WD system). The M3 will be faster in a straight line. The RS4 will be faster round the bends and faster also in wet conditions. So, whether the M3 will manage to beat the RS4 will depend on how well it manages to put its power down. If it tends to wag its tail excessively for instance, then it'll likely lose.

It would be interesting to see how it will go against the Audi RS4. Both have exactly 414bhp.

Cars grow... in 2020 we'll be in a Golf mark 9 that is as big as a Toureg.

Even the 1-series is slightly bigger, taller than the E30s and a whole lot heavier..

sucks really.

I reckon they will sell it at 500k-600k range, this car.

Personally, I'd prefer the E46 over this new E92 anytime, just by the look itself.

Love M3's, from the E30 to the E36 and E46 spanning 21 years to the current day M3 CS model still being offered in the UK, I am greatly looking forward to this E92 M3's destined arrival.

I like how they have gone V8 like the homologated M3 GT-R which 10 were only produced in accordance to the rule of Gran Turismo. With expectation, sadly comes disappointment as well. I would have to say that that hood bulge looks a little ungainly and engine does not produce enough torque to beat the RS4 in the battle of the spec sheets.

I hope for the best and the prestiged arrival of this car. The birth of another M God, the greatest of all the M cars because it is the most well balanced from every perspective e.g power, balance, cornering capability, weight difference.

Looks big, fat and ungainly from this profile shot. And that's one of the main reason why it will be more GT and less track day hero compared to the previous M3s. Weight is no no for track work, brakes fry faster, tyres wear sooner, car less willing to change direction and so on. The new CSL would have to lose a lot of weight to be anywhere as good as the last CSL.

Am I the only one who wants manufacturers to stop making bigger and heavier cars?

It looks more sedate this time around.

Seems more like a cruiser than a track car.

But let's see if the CSL will materialize.

after AFTA, and FTA's..etc., everyone can own an M3.. yippee!!

but seriously, the M3 seems to be shaping up to be quite a car. at least that powerbulge on the hood really speaks of its intention without even moving.

It's big, not much smaller than a 5 series now. Looks promising hehe, only flaw is the unsightly bulge in the hood.
