IMHO, Hilux should be tougher than other makes… its had more robust engine, drivetrain and suspension setup… but for normal city drive, you can pick any likes you want… but when comes to jungle, rainforest, rivers, swamps, snow, dessert, sand dunes…. a Hilux should able to survive… under extreme conditions

Frontier(or the new Navara) would be my 2nd choice, Triton and Ranger 3rd tier…

aye aye.. stuck in the middle… by the Ranger does give the farmer look… american farmer that is… oh well.. i will just wait till its release before decision is made…any idea when will it be release? 3rd quarter? 4th quarter?

Pickup truck should always be a pickup truck in terms of performance and exterior/interior design, and not trying to look like a saloon or sports car.

style + power + performance = bold & tough Ford Ranger!!!!

triton is good,it got furureistic shape n great engine.and is tough too.by the way manual 4 pickups is certainly better than auto.

The 5-speed auto is certainly a welcome change.

I believe the new Ranger would be a good sell too.

Looks tough, but not as tough as Hilux SR Turbo..Ford Ranger in Sarawak is not that popular..Hilux (previous model than Hilux Vigo) is unbreakable..Just look at Jeremy Clarkson video..The new model is some what more softer than the older version..The most important thing when choosing the right 4X4 vehicles is the rigidity of the vehicle..Hilux, in Sarawak is known for this aspect..There are commonly used in offroad conditions such as in the logging road by the ‘tauke’ and the contractor..Other vehicles will not last long…
