To the boy racer (ricer) who said ‘R32 can eat it up’…

Is this a serious comment? Road and Track clocked this car at 0-60 in 4.1 seconds, Skyline R32 is what 4.7? Sure its not too far off in the low end, but once we’re talking about > 160km/hr I think even you would realize these cars are in a completely different class.

You’re comparing a smooth V10 to a whiny overstrung turbo 6? Sometimes I wonder how fanboyism clouds peoples judgment. The Fast and the Furious ruined a generation of car enthusiasts.

If you have ever driven an M car (I’ve only driven the current M5, not the M6) you will understand why the 50/50 weight balance makes these heavy cars so nimble. The Skyline R32 is close at 52/48, but believe me its a noticeable difference for understeer at very high speeds.

Don’t get me wrong, the Nissan’s are impressive pieces of engineering *for their price*, but if you want pure and ultimate driving pleasure, BMW M is unbeatable (until we’re in the Ferrari/exotic budget, but thats not me for sure)

BMW cars are never the best value. You are going to pay 50% more for 20% more performance/handling/enjoyment, but thats what some people want.

The SMG did rub people the wrong way who were expecting it to be an automatic. Its a sequential manual, and a very impressive one. Would I prefer a clutch? Most likely, but its a close second.

While I’m not a huge fan of the bangle designs, BMW is still proudly holding their sports sedan and coupe crown high. I would definitely love to pick up an M6 offlease once someone else has eaten the retardedly high depreciation

Last Friday, I saw at least 2 units of BMWs similar to the M6
(with trade plates) driving very fast along the NKVE towards KL direction from
Klang!!! very fast !!! can any one confirm whether M6 is in KL ?

Wicked child….. This thing begs to be made in to a stripped out gt racer….
I for one prefer the M5 ESTATE!!!! heheh, looks like the normal thing but once on the highway…. ( grins) when will they ever make an m7?…. imagine…. the 7litre engine from a rolls, tuned to produce humongous power and torque…. or even better a diesel v12?…. am i just an idealistic fool…

@Paul, couldn’t help but comment that 4 videos of the same car driving pass is really a waste of bandwidth. Should have chosen the best and post 1. Could have done another video from inside the car, doing a 0-100kph run. 0-100-0 would have been awesome but there’s the danger of the camera kissing the windscreen…

But Paul, the M6 IS in the playing field with the Vantage and 911. Its size and weight puts it squarely in the Super Touring car range. I would classify it as a Super car for older folks.

I remember Tiff Needell n Jeremy Clarkson noticed the engine starts with sounds like a diesel engine. And pre-M button, the car’s pretty much stupid. Fortunately, that M button is the savior, makin this car an ultimate dream machine.

IMHO, I think the M6 is a bit pointless, unless if it’s the convertible version. At least you’ll be able to feel the wind blowing across ur head, n just listen to the howling V10 beast!! If ever, here’s my arrangement of preference: M6 convertible > M5 > M6 coupe

0-100 in 4.7 secs? In real-world, it’ll actually take long enough for you to sip a cup of coffee, that is, by the time you’re done mingling with the ever-confusing n ultra-complicated iDrive.
