Porsche certainly live by the motto of; "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

There is no person in this world who is brave enough to make a drastic change to the iconic 911 and risk unsettling the applecart. Maybe except Chris Bangle.

joe203, there are already many design changes to the 911 family of cars over the years. take a look at all the different models in just the last 10 years, and you will see pretty major evolutionary changes.

The design philosophy has also been maintained very strongly as its been very clear over the years, thats what their customers want, and they were right, because porsche is the most successful sports car maker today, ever imho.

LittleFire85 "I can't remember his name" .. Dr. Ferdinand Porsche. He was the designer and an ardent supporter of Hitler's regime. In fact the VW is still an icon Hitler, and not Ferdinand, is remembered.

Yup.. i really like porches.. my dad own a 1971 1.3L VW beetle.. which is still running well today and similar to porches.. I knew the history of VW which is the people's car.. and beetle is designed by the porches designer.. I cant remember his name.. Until now the boxer engine still running well without water.. Wow.. I just cant imagine why i can last so long... while other manufacturer like P1.. Emm.. last 10 years without rusting the body or engine problem i already laughing... i once read a person drive a porches and fall into a valley, but still alive.. i wonder who's that? He mention that he will buy another porches.. Even a lot of Hollywood stars, politician and car lover's own it.. And Discovery channel sat porches are better then those Italian racing cars and rank no.1 in the world best cars...

This beauty is an overgrown VW, named after the man commissioned by Hitler to build a 'peoples' car for the German masses. The DNA is apparent. The boxer engine but only water-cooled in later models, the crunchy engine sound and the bug eyed front lights.

nice rims.....
i respect porsche's sexy design cues. but they don't really evolve that much over the years. i believe you can still do some changes to the design as long as you maintain your design philosophy. other car manufacturers do that.
if you told me this is a 2001/2 model i would have believed you.
