mystvearn, i think the interior size of the USDM & Euro-R is about the same, judging by the same dashboard & interior panels used for both models. The Euro-R is shorter in exterior length & probably less legroom. But the interior width remains the same.

accord Euro is smaller than accord USDM. And malaysians also get the USDM. If get euro model, then people will complain why so small, why not this instead of that. Its just like that. If you are used to one model lets say accord euro was introduced from the start, then you think the USDM is better than the euro version. Humans are never satisfied.

yea. the accord euro is a very good looking car for a mid priced car. its looks that last. still manages to capture my attention everytime one drives by.
the other i can think of is lexus is250. of course the base version lexus is a bit tad more expensive but still worth every penny.

the euro is an entry level car for young adults. for the price of a mid spec'ed corolla u can get a base version 6 speed manual accord euro. 140kw's vs corolla's 100kw.

the only let down is that its FWD though honda makes some of the best fwd's around. at least they use to.

What to complain? We don't get Civic like in the US & UK. We don't get Camry like in the US,UK, Australia (though the Camry here is called Aurion there), & Japan. We don't get Corolla like in S'pore, US, UK & Japan. We don't get Sentra like in the US

Nice to see an improvement on the good ol' Honda Accord CL7. I think this is still the best looking Accord Honda has ever made. So good that they made a Type R version of it.

I always loved how the back looked and probably has the most athletic stance of all the Accords. All the new Accords have grown too fat and plush which kinda spoils it for me.

Keep up the good work Honda!!

waja_fr3ak: this isnt the euro-R, this is the standard diesel model. The Euro-R has a retuned K20 engine from the DC5 Intergra.

And yeap, this car is sold as an Acura TSX in America.

@kinwawa: this car has been out for quite some time now, how can it have copied whatever kia car you think it did?

Hmm, for those who dont seem to like this car, it actually looks very very nice in person.

malaysian consumers want size, and the US accord met that specification as compared to the EURO accord which is significantly down on interior space overall.

If I'm not mistaken, UK is the only market in the world that put a GT badge to a Honda. The last GT-badge honda was the 1985 Civic SB3 hatchback, with the PGM-Fi engine.

This Accord Euro also sold in US as Acura TL (correct me if I'm wrong), along with the same Accord that we are having now in Malaysia, so there's no issue of old/new style Accord.

It is an Accord Euro design. I prefer this than the one we have for Malaysia ( I think same as for US Market). Same goes to Civic, we don't get that space age Civic Hatchback sold in the UK in Malaysia.

Nice, but looks dated. Strangely, I prefer the one we have here. That's the JDM one, right?

Msia's Accord buyer segment consist of old folks, SMI heads, tycoon wannabes and those migrated from lower to med middle income group.....only these ppl can afford or intend to buy accord.......therefore the design n equipment level really suits them.......

Wherelse in UK ( or any other market ), Accord had migrated from the above segment to young elegant energetic executives who earn as much as the above......maybe a migrator from civic also..........

Therefore, no such thing as old design or new design or unfair design favors.......it much more depending on the individual countries target market, n where does Honda or any other manufacturer wants to positioned their cars.......

@ICER: Actually, thats wrong. The Accord sold in Malaysia is the USDM Accord while the one in this post is the JDM Accord (or known as Accord Euro in countries where both Accords are sold). And I don't think the Accord in Malaysia is the old style, seeing as you've already got the facelifted model.
