BMW has unveiled the new facelifted BMW 6-Series Coupe and Convertible, which brings many updates to the 2+2 GT including a new turbodiesel engine variant as well as updated interiors and exteriors. The new faeclifted BMW 6-Series will come in 630i, 635d, and 650i forms, and will all be rear-wheel drive.
The base BMW 630i model comes with a 3.0 litre straight-six making 272 horsepower at 6,700rpm and 320Nm of torque peaking between 2,750 and 3,000rpm, while the BMW 635d turbodiesel uses BMW’s award winning 3.0 litre twin turbodiesel engine making 286 horsepower at 4,400rpm and massive churning power of 580Nm between 1,750rpm and 2,250rpm. The top of the line BMW 650i has a 4.8 litre V8, putting out 367 horsepower at 6,300rpm and 490Nm of torque at 3,400rpm.
All engines have the option of BMW’s new quick-locking 6-speed auto gearbox which made it’s debut in the 335i, helping reduce transmission losses as well as achieving faster shifts. The 6-Series interior also gets BMW’s new shift-by-wire shift lever found on the new 2nd gen X5 and the facelifted 5-Series. Dynamic Drive is an optional feature which uses variable electronically controlled anti-roll bars to counter body roll during cornering maneuvers.
On the interior, iDrive has been updated to the latest version. You get safety features such as lane departure warning with vibration signal on the steering wheel. There is also a heads-up display showing you information such as speed as well as navigation instructions from the iDrive system. iDrive also shows the video feed from BMW Night Vision, which uses thermal imaging at ranges of up to 300 meters.
For the convertible, leather seats are made with BMW’s SunReflective Technology leather which uses “cool pigments to reduce any undue overheating of the seat surfaces when the car is open. Differences in temperature compared to normal leather can be up to 20 degrees Celcius.
The new bodykit features a wider front air intake on the bumper, and the turn indicators are now lit by LED and have a crystalline effect. The corona rings (angel eyes) in the headlamps now function as daytime running lights. There are also two new colours – Deep Sea Blue and Space Grey, as well as three new alloy wheel designs. The rear end now has an extra third brake light integrated into the spoiler lip, and the existing brake lamps are now lit by LED, as well as had it’s inner design altered.

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
just look at the front end..
the 'eye' look sad.
'look at me…buy me…even I'm priced at more then half a milion RM in Malaysia'
sad
sad
sad
the kidney grill should extend all the wat to the bonnet…..looks like a bad nose
I really really liked the BMW M8, but I believe only one prototype was built. IMHO it looked better! :)
A very minor face lift but lots of additions of LEDs. The leather seating with 20 degrees difference is surprising. Didn't know BMW developed a leather technology that reduce that hot sun burning at your ass sensation. :)
drM: Half million? The M5 already cost nearly RM1million. Between M5 and M6, I still prefer M5. No doubt M6 has better exclusitivity and that is a big margin in price from M5.
this is the 6-series, not the M6.
m5 is around rm8xx ap…not one million
Nice car!!!
as my opinion as we can drive this car we should stick a sticker below our road-tax thats show "Just For Hot Chicks"………………..
Wakakaka :P
What mean large turbo charger and small turbo charger??
Please advise!!!!!
sequential turbos is really sound!!! it to eliminate the lag and in the same time to improve the high rev…
LEDs lighting is good!!! it is not only giving the impression of high tech, it is also giving better visibility even under the hot bright sun…
maroon leather trim?! yuck!!!
overall design… vomit!!!
im agreed the 8 series prototype is far more good-looking than this ugly 6 series…
eye look sad lar…headlight too big! the old ones better looking…
the back looks like a pontiac avenger…..
My bad.. Its a standard 6.
It is common practice to make a 'FACELIFT'.
BMW = awesome
6-Series = one of the cars in my favourite list
new facelift = boring…..
last time 850csi not too bad tough
BMW 6 series is one of my favorites models from BMW. From exterior to cabin (interior) it is really attractive package and truely awesome. BMW's 1 Series still look quite pleasent both exterior and interior. BMW 3 Series and 5 Series look good from outside but kinda boring in the cabin. BMW 7 Series is a no no for me. Models from M division really a WOW!
Hopefully, BMW really work into their iDrive Systems as it was kinda 'faulty' systems they got in the past. Sometime the system kinda annoying.

=> It is not about the look. Every single part of the car plays important part/function. It's part of the safety features designs. You can not just design a car which only look nice without thinking of safety including pedestrian as required by NCAP. Now a days, the designers must design the car that is more pedestrian friendly besides thinking about the occupants meaning if accident happened between the car and pedestrian. The front bumper and bonnet should not be too harsh (too hard) and should give support to the pedestrian if the pedestrian fall on top of the bonnet. Toyota even planed and in R&D stage to equip (fit in) pedestiran/bonnet airbag for their future models.
=> Extra info. All cars come with crumple zone, area which allow the car to absorb the impact/force. This area is a bit fragile actually. If you ever look at the crash test by any car manufacturer, you will know what I mean either from computer simulation or real crash test. For example, based on 64KM/h via EuroNCAP standards, you can see the engine compartment usually will totally collapse in but not until to the A-Pillar of the car. However, with strong cabin protection zone, area that prevent the car body from collapse into the cabin or known as occupants' cabin (interior of the car) when front collision occur.
So cheers.
the best looking 6-series , the convertible one.
just love to spend time with it when the top is down.
Look at the torque of the 635d, OMG 580nm, is more greater then the 650i.. however.. Tax here, tax there, quality diesel sucks.. Haiz.. no chance..
BrakeFader: the M6 is over 1 million. but the 6 series range from 600K to 0.9 million.
the front looks like saying "don't buy me" !!
seems like not having enough sleep had caused the eye sagging…
hahaha! well said transformers!
ppl say look ugly but in the end when other car makers copy the design then they all say looks ok…current trend must be like that….remember the 7-series boot?
anyway…..awesome engine…..superb package…..a real chic magnet
Holy Crap…. That's a realy ugly piece of sh*t….. Looks like Hunchback Quasimodo's frog got squashed and flattened.

Could not agree more with this comment. But if I am BMW competitor, I will make that type of comment also due to lack of inner peace.
nice performance graph there
What facelift? I can make a bigger difference to the way I look when I shave.
7 series boot still looks ugly
