Volvo used to be known for it's innovative safety features, but since others have improved and even exceeded Volvo's features, the brand has almost remianed stagnant in that aspect. It has toyed with performance models by going the turbo way, but it's normally aspirated engines are nothing to shout about. I feel that Volvo should go back to it's original business model, ie to build safe, reliable and comfortable cars for the family. The XC90 is a fine example, as in the US, most of the XC's are driven by housewives and working mothers. Their station wagons are legendary, in terms of chic design and functionality.
