E36 is still my favourite BMW despite its age. Classic by now and the M3 is nothing less than legendary. Looks great in royal blue or electric blue un my opinion.

This car was good, but it costs a fortune to maintain.

Brakes were the only problem I saw with the car though, needed much bigger brakes infront for 320 hp the engine was putting out.

Great rear wheel fun !

BanyakMasukWorkshop:

I know what you mean!! I was ecstatic when I saw a 4 door E36 M3 here in Malaysia. I was with a couple of friends who thought I had lost it when I went ape over the existence of the car here.

All they could comment was "Its just an old BMW". Those things are real nice, if only people could really appreciate them for what they are. Well more for us, less for them I always say.

Very nice and detailed review of the E36 M3. Although it wasn't as big of a head-turner as the E30 most enthusiasts have come to love, it definitely played a pivotal role in introducing the monster 6 cylinder M3 engine we have all come to love.

Bravo Paul, I will be eagerly awaiting the history of the E46 BMW M3 soon.
