Naza still plans to list

naza logoThe Naza Group still has plans to list the company on the stock exchange. The listing exercise is to raise funds to build a new plant in Bertam, Penang which is estimated to cost about RM1.2 billion as well as new model development.

The plant was announced in 2005 and will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 cars. “It is still on. There is no delay actually. Sometimes, it is the market situation,” said Naza Group head Tan Sri Nasimuddin SM Amin.

It is also expanding it’s Gurun plant, but no targeted production capacity was mentioned. Tenders have been opened for works related to the plant expansion. The Gurun plant currently makes 50,000 units a year.

Why at Penang? Not at Ipoh or Kuantan?

    What is Nazi thinking about?

Lands at Penang are not much and getting expensive, Location wise also far from Klang and KL, there must be some stories behind.

this man is bloody smart. the picanto comes in with the doors and tailgate detached and voila! it’s a CKD! fix the doors and tailgate, swap the emblem, and you have built a national car – and still have a healthy margin. very smart.

Guys , I am kinda agree with actioncenter2u.
Why those Nazis try to setup their plant in expensive land?
Even Proton ran away from Tanjung Malim just to ensure their overhead is lower, so they can produce cheaper cars.

I think BigCAr is trying to tell us :

    - Penang Port (make sense because they are going to export to India, so why not build a plant in India? Lots cheaper from Penang what???)
    - International Airport (WTH this infra has to do with car production? making the price higher?)
    - Highway, (selling the car at R&R?)
    - Timur barat highway (Bukit mertajam – Kulim & etc) – So Naza can sell to the monkeys, Elephant, Tiger, Willboar etc.
    - North South highway – I have no ideaaaaaaaaaaaaa
    - Gas piping (Naza will transport the car using Petronas Pipeline)

    Conclusion
    BigCAR is CLUELESSSSSSSSS
