30% Merdeka discount for traffic summons

The traffic department of the Royal Malaysian Police will be giving a 30% discount on summons in conjuction with the upcoming 50th Merdeka celebrations.

“The Merdeka offer of 30% on summons will start from 30th – 31st Aug, and more surprises will be announced later for 1st & 2nd September 2007. The nation can pay their summons at the traffic summons payment kiosk at Hall 4, PWTC during the 50th Merdeka Expo,” said DSP Zainal bin Abdul Hamid.

    If really want to Celebrate Merdeka, this discount should not available at PWTC only!

    Its not fair for other Rakyat especially those who stay far away from Selangor! ITS NOT FAIR!

    walo walo waloooooo PDRM merdeka mega sale ler……..huhuhuhu agaknya mau jaga hati pengusaha bas….jangan bagi diaorang mogok wooo. nanti all rakyats susah mau balik raya. hohoho. pilihanraya season is coming lagi, belanjawan 2008 lagi…….my 2008 wish would be no increase in petrol price next year. huhuhuhu tolongggg pak lah….

    Aikkkk……..???? Yesterday i go to shah alam’s balai polis and get 50% discount for all my summons………..sure or not…….???
    From RM 300 they reduce to RM 100 then they further reduce to RM 50

    emmmm,
    last yr end they also do some promotion like supermarket…. i got a Rm300 speed ticket….half discount Rm150….. special offer..RM70 only…. haha…. supermarket deal….hohooo… It made me upset when i want to see the photo…’sorry, sini tak boleh tengok, kena pergi xxxx untuk check’ what a shame to our traffic department even still cannot get everthing link up until today 2007!!! Further all datuk… said upgrade goverment pc hardware… (for gaming in govr. office use??)…. $$…

    Not so encourage on this move. Will only upset those “good-paymaster” …hehehe.

    Not only police force is doing this discount, my aprtment management is “begging” the residents to settle the outstanding with EVEN MORE DISCOUNT up to 85%.

    KL-ATR, i did nothing. I just go to the info counter to check. There i got the reduction from 300 to 100. When i go to the next counter for payment, the officer straight away charge me RM 50.
    Hmmm………save me some RM to buy a new speaker cable………hehehe………TQ PDRM………..luv ya………

    Should treat as “bad debt” and be given 100% discount for those summons more than 3 years to write-off “Non Performing Loan”!

    But this 30% discount, don’t know whether any minister will come out and say the police force can’t offer themselve but need minister consent ……… then this merdeka offer cancelled.

    the 50% discount is only offered for Summons issued in Kuala Lumpur.
    Summons for accidents, red lights, Ops Sikap (speeding during the raya/cny period) are not discount-able.

    So to those who thought they saw this too late, don’t worry as your summons may not be eilgible for discount if they fall into one of those categories.
