the point is littlefire85, if you cannot verify a piece of information is true or not in the first place, why even mention it?

worst off all, when someone challenges you, you actually defend your information which you dont even know is true in the first place.

if someone who is wrong in the first place tells you something, and you repeat it to a 3rd person, the information is still wrong.

I personally don’t care much about how much more power there is in the car. thats not what an EVO is all about. is all about driving a feathery light car (at least it feels that way), with lots of confident in cornering ability, even for ameteurs.

And now, you don’t have to worry about stalling the car or using the clutch anymore! how good is that? definitely make any rich kid look cool.

There is a turbocharged 300+ horsepower version of the GEMA 2.4 liter engine used in Chryslers. Someone could probably fit it easily into his Lancer as it is the same chassis.

Oh sorry, the 2.4L is for UK/US spec… Just ask my friend.. he say the 2.0L is for JDM market.. Anywayz the 2.4L upgrade is available after next year.. Sorry paul..

LittleFire85: instead of just mentioning what you heard, why not head on to the brochure scans to find out that what you just mentioned is wrong… for this JDM market evo at least? i don’t understand why people like to just pass on what they heard without doing abit of research first. you’re repeating what you did with what you heard from proton salesmen that the campro is based on a renault engine. it wouldn’t hurt to do abit of research.

This Evo looks very cutting edge. great gearbox, improvement on the engine with its new vtec. Moreover, the active diff ensures you look good and fast with a bit of sliding action but not stupid (which is where you might spin out of control or go off the road).

This is a complete contrast to the new Impreza. Can’t wait to read the review of the car.

I heard that GSR & RS will still using the 2.0L mivec but added turbo, while the EVO X will be using 2.4L mivec wif 6-speed manual.. Dont know is true or not.. The engine is to fight against the 2.5L subaru WRX STi..

I think the 6-speed SST semi-auto should be selling good for GSR.

might not be accurate, the 280ps is just to satisfy the gentlemen’s agreement on paper, i read magazines who dynoed evos in the past and they always produce >300ps
