go for silver, nice and easy to maintain.
white would be too easy to get dirt
black would be too black, if u prefer then its ok to pick it.
blue is kinda ugly for this kind of small sedan.

i bought my saga b line manual in june and it’s now at 11000km. went home for raya, from kl – plus ( kuala kangsar ) – gerik – machang – besut. and spent rm70 for fuel. spent the same amount on my way back , besut – kuala terengganu – lpt ( kuantan) – karak highway – kl. still ok for such a car. last yr we went home with kelisa, took the cameron highland road and massive traffic jam for 3 hours in gua musang, we spent around 100.
i travel ard 80 km everyday to go to work and return home, i spend ard 60 a week

Looks good. Looking forward to test driving it here in Australia. Here it will be specified almost like the H-line, but even better, plus with the 1.6 campro instead of the 1.3, and it will be even cheaper then what it costs in Malaysia! Fantastic for first car buyers.

From what i tested the Manual Transmission saga 1.3 uses about 9.2L/100km. from full tank to light flashing is about 27.8L of fuel gone. Saga has a 40 L fuel tank dunno why the light comes on so early, still got nearly 12L left. Maybe the car is still too new, need to wait until the engine has run-in then do another fuel consumption test. Anyone has monitored the fuel consumption after the engine has run-in? is the any big difference?? The campro engine is really quite noisy but quite smooth though.. so no just need to get use to it ^^

For me, i am also super x2 regrets going to get this car soon… what to do, money not enough, wanna get persona also cannot afford…

I always have bad dreams with this car, although i haven’t received it yet! Will receive this car this month end. You know what, at first i wanna take myvi but too expensive for me coz this car still cheaper alot than myvi but after i got chance to sit in the SAGA taxi 1.6, i really regret cox the headroom at the backseat really low… but it was too late while i called proton edar and the salesman (dont know what kind of salesman is this, everything i ask he will answer Dont know) said already submit the car scrapping form to kl… sigh…

Bought the car in June 98. My wife uses the 1.3Auto to ferry kids to school & groceries. With full tank, the most the car could make is about 190km to 200km only.

i bought 1 1.3 one… now super regrets…
tat fuel consumption is suck… far away from the factory info..
full tank of petrol.. then about 240km-260km then the fuel warning light is flash… damn… compare to Myvi a tank of petrol about can drive about 350km then i really faint about it…

N at ipoh… i have ask few dealer… they dun have sell 1.6… sum told me only for taxi or tell me need long long long time to take car.. so better dont..

N 1.3 fuel comsumtion like this i think cause of the gear box.. the final ratio suck… 4.7. this is more bigger then some sport car, n this make the engine high rev when driving.. like 5th gear, 3000rpm juz 90, 120 already 4000rpm…. SO i guess change to 4.3 can be better.. hope proton improve this problem…

Ok, will look into the 1.6 SAGA later, thanks T H C. Btw i have to tell you that the customer service by the Sales Advisor at Proton Edar wasn’t satiesfied for me. Mostly the answer he could get me was: don’t know, maybe, not sure, don’t know when, etc. Honestly i really regret to get this car as my first car and i really disoppointed with Proton service even though i have not received my new SAGA yet. Sigh~

Actually, the only concern is the CAMPRO engine as many of the SAGA owners told me that its noisier compare to other engine with the same displacement.

Chris, why not get the 1.6 SAGA as it has better power and acceleration and thus save more fuel than the 1.3 BUT only available in RED (solid) color. I dislike the RED-colored SAGA.

Whatever it is, the decision is yours.

I will probably buy the Saga once the govt announce the car scrap policy is going to come to an end. Also need some time to go JPJ to tender a good number as well and this takes time.
Already been 1 year d since this saga 1st launched, therefore, some improvement had been made , hopefully.

Hello Mei Ling,
The main difference which u notice on the M-line is sports rim, fog lights, and door handle color same with body color
while the
B-line is got wheel cover, no fog lights, door handle is black color

if i were u, i would go for saga M-line (manual) solid white or silver metallic

This car drinks fuel. Especially the auto version. My relative auto use like 9km/l, which translate to 11.xx litre for every 100km!!!!
So much for Proton’s statistic of 6.2 for 100km!!

Some of my colleagues also complains it drinks fuel. And there’s one guy at lowyat forum complaining like 7km/l!!!!! Cheap car..small engine…but drinks fuel???

Was interested to buy, but dropped the idea now. CAMPRO simply sucks fuel.
