I use a 1.3l proton saga, made in 2011. The problem with the automatic transmission cars – not an economic fuel, my car used 12.5 liters per 100 kilometers, when I drive at a speed of 50 km / h in town. My husband tells me that his 2010 Ford Ranger 4×4 while consuming less than my car. I do not know what to do with them. contact your dealer, they also do not know why it happened. why it happened? as will apply to plants? or so we will write online about a proton saga?

hello paul!

just want to ask, what would you prefer between proton saga, viva and myvi? i’ve been thinking about this for a quite long time. Saya sebenarnya baru bekerja, tak rancang pun utk ada sebuah kereta dalam masa terdekat. tapi tugas saya melibatkan kerja luar, and it will make me easier to mobilize if i have a car rather than a motorcycle. main concern sebelum memilih kereta ni, adalah monthly installment. saya bkn kedekut, tapi keadaan ekonomi sekarang membuat saya menjadi berkira. hope u can provide me some useful guideline before buying a car. btw, saya boleh dikatakan x reti sangat pasal hal kereta ni.

hi, just want 2 share.. almost 1 year i’m using this saga.. i bought the b-line auto trnmission.. but frankly speaking, i did felt very ashamed when i took my frens out with my car.. i felt myself the pick up was so bad… the steering also very hard to control…. the fuel pedal also hard to push… compare to myvi auto…
guys, any idea how can i improve my saga… one of my frens said, “ur car was so bad compared to kelisa auto, were all saga auto like that..?”, “r u using 1.0 saga?”… hurm very annoying to hear such that silly questions… but i just stay quiet and smile.. huhu..;(

Kami baharu sahaja membeli proton saga FL selepas menjual toyota vios E type tahun 2009. Tentu terkejut kerana downgrade dari toyota ke proton, tetapi kami berpendapat vios bukanlah sebuah kereta yang berbaloi dengan harga hampir RM80,000, ia tetap memberi kami masalah seperti dashboard longgar, batang lampu signal tidak kembali ke neitral selepas membelok, handling dan ride yang membuang dan bouncing, sungguh tidak selesa apabila kereta melantun-lantun , walaupun vios mempunyai engine dan transmission yang lebih baik dari proton, memandu vios di highway amat menakutkan kerana kereta bergoyang dan teras membuang apabila ada angin lintang atau memoton/dipotong lori dan bas.
Menakjubkan apabila menggunakan proton saga fl, memandu terasa lebih seronok walaupun pada selekoh yang tajam berbanding vios , bodyroll yang amat sangat. Memandu saga FL seperti kereta buatan eropah, ride dan handling lebih selesa dan amat baik pada harga hanya RM40,000. Internal dan external berbaloi dengan harga kereta berbanding vios , dashboard nampak terlalu plastik dan murah, tidak ada tekstur, termasuk design pintu yang murah, materialpun terasa murah dan lembik. Kaki saya beberapa kali terluka terkena pada control power-window yang tajam .
Saya berbangga dengan proton, cuma diharap proton dapat R & D enjin dan transmission kepada yang lebih baik daripada sekarang.
Solid dan berbaloi, tak banyak komplain pada harga ini

saya beli kete ni last year 2009….bru je keluar dari kedai kete tu, dah ada rasa gegar bila brek…the next day saya p hantar ke workshop proton, complain pasal bila brek tu ada rasa gegar….pas tu mekanik kat situ, dia lye break tu jer….then saya ambik kete saye tu, saye test lagi, masih tetap sama bergegar bila brek, saye dtg balik ke wokshop proton, dia org lye lagi brek kete saye tu…pekara yg sama tiada perubahan masih bergegar sampai sekarang…..ada poblem jugak kete msia ni….kete saye tu sampai sekarang masih lagi ada rasa bergegar bila brek…

i having tis car in yrs 2008. car very comfortable but fuel pay more if go many trips in 3 day RM50 full tank.

body very heavier, sometime change gear not smoothly. am consider change another car to replace it if am abiliti. proton svc ctr quote me RM580 in 1st major svc, for me price really high to keep for maintain.

after a year the absober having big sound in rear tyre, and having ‘chit-chit’ sound on test board really irritate to me.

not yet…the mechanic just cleaned the clutch, he said the clutch might be accumulated dirt.

if the problem is in the clutch slave cylinder, how come it broke at only 8000 km of use?

faulty assembling? bad quality material? or bad foot (misuse)?

anyone ever experienced this kind of problem?

after 8234 km on odometer, suddenly my clutch pedal became very hard when i shifted up from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. This is abnormal, because proton saga cluch pedal is normally soft.

No solution from proton official repair center. Up until now, the clutch pedal is very hard during shift up or shift down at any gear, even during idle.

what is causing this?

Simple solution, go to sc and fix it. I believe signal light malfunction is just a minor problem which can be fix easily. I just got my iafm module changed after waiting for 3 months! Now, my saga is running smoothly without that annoying noise which nearly driving me crazy!

Having problem with the gear box. Sent to Proton for service but it still face the same problem. Jerking during changing gear from high gear to low gear.

Signal light also malfunction. proton technician mention it the double switch failure.

Aiyoo… how i am going to drive without the signal light??

In My opinion, i think Saga se is overprice. I would rather save that extra rm 5000 and buy me a m-line, use that extra rm 5000 to modi my car. Let’s start calculate:
Bodykid-Rm 1500, Pioneer audio head-Rm 530, leather wrap on steering-rm200, full leather set for car’s seats-Rm1800-rm 2300.(By the way, i bought a set of nice pvc set for my m-line saga, look exactly like genuine leather, feel good and cooler compared to coolmax set under hot sunny day, all this for just rm380).
So, if you know how to count, i’m sure you won’t consider buying the Se. For god sake, my frenz, with rm 5000, u can modi ur saga with much better performance or look or accesorries compared to stock Se.

it’s ok but the price is a bit higher for this model. hope to review the price and pls compare with others country cars. If the car sales in malaysia always is expensive and low quality. u believe or not the models export to oversea always the quality will better than here, why this happen? do the proton knows that we malaysians also human being where need beter quality cars. think about it

Consider it’s price, manual rear window isn’t a big deal. But the soft rear suspensions do become a problem especially for those who had change their BLM stock wheel to large 16 Inches wheels. If you keep your BLM stock wheels, then this will not become a big problem for you. I am a 110kg male who often travel with my family(Mum,65Kg++,sister,80kg++,aunty,60kg++, and over 60kgs luggage stuck under the boot lid), travel along the 400km++B Road from Sibu To Kuching.My mum and sister never complaint about the rear seat.

I think people at Proton designed this car to be functional only the half-front portion of the car. Two people in the car, it’s still good. But if you put people on the rear seat, they will complaining about the manual rear window and the rear suspensions that sag too much when fully loaded.

Yap! i’m totally agree with u,pacifictuna. The biggest weakness for saga blm is the IAFM module. The service provided from SC also very dissapointed. In my place, just have one Sc,so i have to follow what they said. They told me i’ll have to wait for 2 months inorder to fix my IAFM problems. Now is already 1 week left, i’m really hope they kept their promise.

ok, my gf bought m-line saga manual. got it on july 2008. (2 years).

routine balik kampung every fortnightly to bentong so karak is like her backyard. it’s a good car, doing it’s job nicely. fc not bad, depends really on how you rempit it. her brother hit a terrible fc but her’s are fine.

problems? bad qc. the rubber trim on rear door not properly glued, faulty fog lamp switch, faulty power window buttons and faulty rear drum brake (left). however, the best solution is a good SC. she had all her problems solved in Cheras SC. claimed warranty, paid nothing but a few hours of waiting. new parts also. so no complain here…….. only have to book in advance cause this FC have alot of customer.

only one major concern, the IAFM module. she just got this problem (after 2 years) and was told that the waiting time is 4 months! another okay sc in sri kembangan confirmed this. this problem can be fixed in bout a month or so if you visit glenmarie….

the major flaw is service from SC. once you got a good sc, 80% of the problems are considered solved. at least IMHO.
