The future's so bright I've gotta wear shades.

We don't need engines. Think about it. Electric motor is so much more efficient in converting energy into motion. We know it from school days. People resist it because:-

1. Major motor companies will die. Because we don't need the engines. Each country can make their own electric motor.

2. Major Oil companies will die. Because we don't need the fuel be it petrol, diesel or biodiesel or ethanol. We won't even need the much value added lube oil. Its still hydrocarbon. Power companies do. But they are more efficient in buying in bulk or hedging. And its not the only source of energy for their generators.

3. Foreign power brokers will have no influence. When there is no hunger for hydrocarbons, there is no need for it.

4. If you take out the cost of development on engines and put it in batteries, drives, chasis, suspension, you'll end up with a car that is sooooo sweet to drive, clean and efficient.

5. I'll trade in those noise for g-pulls and constant rush of endorphine anytime

650hp and 750nm EACH or total? Paul, can clarify?

All I need is a 1/5 of that hp and 300nm of electrical power in a Sedan with extended range.

1. company that build sport battery car is looser in sport market, that cant compete in building engines and as well business strategy.

2. when making an electric sport car.. its too silent dont it. gone all the fun. No tunning work for fun. No ekzos to upgrade. daaa... bored.

3. in electric car, when u throw in too many gadget and technology in, it will cost too much. For example the tesla roadster is now costing 100k USD, In us OTR. woww.. that is ridiculous for an electric car doesnt it. Throw off the thing that you dont need, make it simple, less power, less fancy frame/body/design, even lower efficiency lion battery that is much cheaper, throw off braking recharge (thats not the new thing, and its wont hurt much without batter-power recovery).

4. oh god. these people really dam 'gong' in business. no eye see. if you make a fast car in 7 seconds to 100, and selling at just a fraction of what they do now.. wahla.. you are making a huge profit. Isnt that what business aimed for? Hey, an electric faster than merc or BMW.. doesnt that sound much better. How many need a ferrari speed or lamboghini.. ops, cant even pay for the tyres and rubber.

knock knock.. build wat we want, and we will buy it. FOr sure..
petrol is selling 100USD+ per barrel.. this definately a very good time to roll out something practical and 'electric'

Sweet!!!
650 horsepower and a total of 750Nm of torque each, available across the whole rev range! Accelerating this will be a whole new experience for supercars!

Durability comes into the question here. Can go 400KM, then 380, then less no use.

Quite a fantastic breakthrough showing high power battery car, which gives much confident to battery car now.

I welcome battery car development for consumer use ! Hopefully we see battery car is something in common in 5 years' time.
