Good info from everyone's comment. But none talk about the Co2 emission.

Any idea what Co2 emission level for 2.0cc model ?

Hi Prado700

Thanks for your advice, unfortunately HM Customer Service even up front told me HM will not give any compensationate to the customer. I did mention that I will email to H Japan, and you know what they said, go a head and you have the right to do so!
They had made this silly mistake but not even give the customer solution by up front telling the customer HM is like that ......
I'm so disappointed with HM.... No matter how good is the car, from marketing, service and customer handling T is still the Best!!!!! Before changing to this H's car, actually i have been driving T's car for more then 10 years.

hi mlthum, i suffered the same problem like you 12 years ago when i order Toyota Prado for my wedding. FYI, i live in KL but my kampong is Bkt Mertajam. I fax a letter to HQ and Toyota settle my problem by "loan" 2 Prado vehicles to me Foc for few days. i pickup the car at Prai showroom. (the testdrive and show room car)

I suggest you fax or email to HM, attn: MD or Prez. I am sure they will look into your problem seriously. by the way, it will definitely enhance Honda image if you use as wedding car.
Wishing you best of luck and Congratulations on your wedding day.

Hi Prado700,
Thanks for your infor.
Yes and I also called HM Cust Service and they admit the problem.
But this is unacceptable due to the following:
- i scolded my SA coz i though they kept giving me excuses
- due to urgency, SA and the SM trying so hard to allocate the car for me and finally the car is here but unable to register due to the above issue.
- My urgency(i even paid the 1st payment on top of my RM3000 deposit) as i need the car as planned for my wedding this weekend and somemore I'm from penang and need the car back to pg. SA already trying so hard to allocate me the car but end up issue happen to HM!

*from the conversation with HM Cust Service, I asked them by when can this issue solve, as they said not sure and either end of this month of BEGINNING OF MAY... (unacceptable!!!) I told them to give me exact date where by is good for me to plan futher but THEY(HM) can;t!!!!!!!!!!!

Would like your further advice how can I request HM to speed up and this is so critical to me.

Thanks in advance

Heard from my SA(not sure is true or not, that’s why need yours further clarification), the Accord 2.0 unable to deliver and still at the Melaka plant due to CC clarification by Custom wrongly…..and this has cause the delivering of 2.0 delay!!!! I’m 1 of the 2.0 buyer where yet to received the car and SA keep giving me reason!!!!!!!

It is true, mlthum. On Saturday, i check with Honda HQ and this trainer that i known mentioned to me that was due to 1998 cc. Honda input 1997 but the correct is 1998. Honda rectify it immediately and have the personnel to keyed in non stop and will take about few days to settle the problem.
mlthum, you should get your new accord begining of May, hopefully!!

I think the Accord is a good looking car, and one that is very different both in terms of looks and also technology from its competitors.

I test drove the Accord 2.4 vti yesterday and was duly impressed with the level of refinement and dynamics of the new car vs. the outgoing model. I have also driven plenty of cars in the next bracket i.e. RM 200 to RM 300k and for RM 171 k you are getting plenty of bang for the buck. The Camry in comparison feels quite plain and at the end of the day the engine specs is the clincher. 180 vs. 169 ps. Definitely class leading

The only complaint was the steering feel. Irrespective of its electronic assistance which in theory should be able to emulate the more direct feel of manual systems, the feel of the steering is too light for a car of such size and standing. At the end of the day, one that is buying a big car should feel like they are driving a big car and not the other way around.

The other complaint was more the quality of the arguments used by the sales man. I was totally appalled by the lack of knowledge and the ability to articulate the benefit and value of the Accord features. When i was in Sydney last month, i had a 20 min discussion with the sales person on I-Vtec and the benefit of variable intake and exhaust vs just variable intake. This was just a young 20 something guy, but trained so well in the little nuances of Honda technology.

Another BIG problem with sales centers in Malaysia today is that they NEVER EVER check the tire pressure of the cars when allowing the customer to take a test drive. Absolutely amazing, when in fact the major complaint i had when driving was that the car was very stiff and harsh when driven especially the back which has probably less weight to compensate for the high pressure. I whipped out my tire pressure gauge, and sure enough all the 4 tires had different PSI reading ranging from -3 to 8 PSI from the recommended. I told them, that really that could have been a reason i would have walked away and not bought the car.

Anyways, in summary, great car for the money. Its not really the drive only but more the environment that the Accord gives when you drive it. Its got size, its got enough luxury, its got quality and above all its got presence.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention... the Singapore 2 Liter Accord also comes with 4 airbags, side mirrors with indicators, auto tilt down of the side mirrors when in reverse, black leather interior and dark wood trim as standard!!

Yeah bro... most cars in SG have high spec... due to the strength of the SG dollar... well... like you said its in the blood... only way to solve this problem is to suck out all the "OLD" blood and inject "FRESH" blood!! If you know what I mean...

albagmane, does toyota's(for example) dohc give u performance and driving pleasure? i dont think so, cause i drove most of them, i only enjoy camry and celica.

no matter SOHC or DOHC, with the world v live in now have valve phasing tech, variable valve timing n lift. its the best chassis that give u the most performance n driving pleasure. without it, the car will not b stable when its light weight, cant even take a proper corner.

personally i like tis accord more than current camry, eventho camry's door shutting sound n other sound sound good, but i dnt think i buy car to put thr and open n shut door for the sound of it. agree? its the space, the tech, the capability, and the look. comparing this to camry(for example again, cause its from jap and same class), camry is a conservative car, that's y it's reliable. conservative suits malaysian, cause malaysian dont like changes!

whitejack, why even bother to buy a lancer GT then?, you can get a kelisa or two for a fraction of the cost, and even easier to park.

Guy and Gals...
I actually really feel for you because the 2 Liter '08 Accord in Singapore comes with electric driver seat, rain sense wipers, leather upholstery, front & back sensors, auto levelling headlights, cruise control, HID headlamps and my personal favourite, lighted scuff plates!! Upon opening the doors, the Accord word lights up in blue on all four door scuff plates! Bloody nice!
And guess what dollar to dollar comparison... the SG Accord is only SGD95800! The flagship 3.5 Liter V6 is only SGD125800 and with COE included! Now thats what I call a bargain!

I believed this car is the most spacious in its class. The car's dimension is bigger than the E-class or 5-series, while the price of the top range is similiar to the C-class/3-series entry model.

At nearly 5-metres long, this Honda nearly matches the length of the S-class/7-series.

i don't think the accord V6 would be a halo model. it can fight off the merc c-class and bmw 3-series

agree that the car looks better in real life. the boot shape is very irregular and I think you will have difficulty putting in 2 large suitcases is u are travelling overseas.somehow the inside feels smaller than the camry even though the exterior is enormous.

Just went to a Honda showroom and check out the car in flesh.

Pictures doesn't do any justice to this superb machine.

Check it out yourself first before commenting.

Haven't managed a test drive as was rushing for time.

Very big and long, seems more like an S-Class.

Value for money I guess.

But Honda sales people quite 'lan si' this time. Guess they had many orders.
