Founder and CEO of the Naza Group Tan Sri S.M. Nasimuddin S.M. Amin passed away this morning at 1.15am GMT+8 in Los Angeles, California where he was receiving treatment for lung cancer at a private hospital in Long Beach.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to Tan Sri’s family. Despite being the big man behind a large home-grown conglomerate that has provided many jobs, having met him briefly over dinner one day I found him to be very nice man and very down to earth.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Another great man have passed away.
I was once working under his management as a sales exec when JB Naza showroom opened. Was managed by him and his bro. He was polite and humble, even shake everyone’s hand in the new branch. Giving us a very ensured feeling that working for him is something great to look for.
Condolences to his family.
Imagine a top man in the executive decision position gone, this is one brand in crisis. I think he didn’t expect to leave so soon. A private conglomerate without a leader is quite a mess.
Condolences to his family.
Actually his sons Faisal and Nasa have been in management roles for quite some time now.
wow, din see that coming. must be Small Cell Lung Ca.
wow…didn’t know about this as previously newsppaer didn’t highlight that he got cancer also…suddenly heard about him passing away… sincere condolences to his family…
AP or no AP, lets not put this together as ppl are grieving right now…that one it’s up to God to decide whether it’s payback time or not…
What a shock!!
He’s still young and looks healthy always. My deepest condolence to the family.
How far his dynasty would stay ? I doubt it will stay for so long. Any family circle’s corporation won’t last long unless they open the door for outsiders into the management room.
We never know when will be our turn to depart and never coming back.
Takziah to the familiy. He was a hardworking man. it’s a great lost to auto industry.
a great loss 2 the local automotive industry…. may his soul rest in peace…
Very shocked. I liked his looks, a little Shah Rukh Khan like.
Seems like so many people are getting cancer these days.
Feel very shock by this news…as you guys mention, never expect he gona leave so soon…our country lost a great business man & local automotive pioneer today…my deepest condolence to his family…
A really big lost to the country generally and to the local car industry specifically. A man with a lot of vision and wisdom. One of the most successful and influenced conglomerate present. I’m sure he will be remember by all for his contribution and for who he is.
My deepest condolence to his family.
Condolences to the late Tan Sri’s family.
Really feel sad to miss another tycoon in Malaysia. my deepest condolence to his family…

Al-Fatihah….amin.
Takziah hi his family…
This is a blow to the Automotive Community
deepest takziah….i’m sure his son is good enough to continue the successor
…
i wonder how NAZA’s gon b after this..since ppl said he’s da real deal behind da group..
Condolence to family. Was he a smoker to get lung cancer?
He is my friend’s uncle….. Felt sorry abt his loss……
My condolences to his family.
I view the man as quite brave; the Hafei tie-up shows how he was willing to take risks. It may just pay off if not in Malaysia but in Forza’s exports markets.
His tie-ups with Peugeot and Kia may seem like mere re-badging exercises. In reality, it provides jobs, plus lends variety to Malaysian drivers.
Al-Fatihah.
takziah.
al-fatihah
Al-fatihah and takziah to his family and friends.
Politics aside, I have to admit that he’s a very disciplined businessman. Despite having accumulated such wealth, he’s very aggressive in expanding his business empire, the way a great businessman does. That could only mean he’s a man with a vision who wouldn’t let a Ferrari or a nice mansion get over his head and become arrogant and complacent. I’ve always respected that aspect in him that is kinda rare among bumi entrepreneur.
Well, the baton will be passed on to his sons, let’s see whether they can keep emulating the spirit and vision that their father had left them. I wish them all the best.
My deep condolences to his family. A great man passed away with dignity.
al-fatihah to him..my role-model in business world..really shock to hear this..
Condolence to Tan Sri. He has used his opportunity brilliantly to build the Naza Group into a diversified empire of automobiles, hotel chains and etc. Very far sighted, indeed.
condolence.i was also shocked to hear about that.may God blessed his soul to peace.now his sons have bigger responsibility to keep up his good work and maintain it.
R.I.P … AP KING…
my condolence to the family.
in my opinion, he and his family are very visionary abt the whole industry and have adapted themselves well in terms of competiting, strategies, etc.
something that some other car manufacturers(u knw who) could not achieve in a long time.
haizzz..never so sad t hear this
one of the most prominent corporations of Malaysia has lost its leader.
Tan Sri, one of the true blue businessman..never mind That AP status that was recently..but the true fact is how he began his business. No ‘cable’ing & all paid off with his wits and hardwork.
May His soul rest in peace.

bro… it’s doesn’t mean that ppl who do not smoke will not get lung cancer… 2 week ago my TT friend died of a lung cancer too.. he doesn’t smoke & was still young (44 y.o)… he was so skinny & looks like a skeleton with skin during his last days… but it’s good for u to lower the risk by quit smoking :)
btw, condolence to Tan Sri’s family…
i actually saw the funeral car passing by me. didnt know what was going on until i read the newspaper. deepest condolence to the family.
What Loss is there to Malaysia ? People come and go …..
Malaysian consumers pay the highest price for cars in the world in terms of our pruchasing power in relation to our salaries becasuse of all theses APs.
Go figure …… nevertheless….. Al-Fatihah to Tan Sri’s family.
Takziah to Tan Sri’s family..
with all the money he has, still cannot save him. Sigh…
So, take care of your health, and the rest is up to God
My deepest condolences to his family. Al-Fatihah.
Well, good for him. All he did was buy AP at 4000 then perhaps sell it at 50thousand. That's the clearest cut of unfair trade and bribery. Good riddance bad rubbish.
