Alright,so this car is with 4 doors..but i check it on the vw official website of malaysia,they only have golf gti with 2 doors..can i know wat’s the different?

Superb car and it can be used for the missus too (auto). 4 door so my 3 car crazy kids can get in. Waiting for delivery of my ABT version which brings up to 240bhp. Can also upgrade by ABT to 300bhp – sheer madness – but it comes warranty and approved by VW. Had to let go of my Fiat Coupe but no regrets.

Recently drove this baby for a few days during LeTour de Langkawi 09 (VW sponsored the event)… all I can say is a big WOW!!! Smooth power that handles every twist and turns.
I’m saving up to buy this bullet in white.

forgot to mention, there is also a dsg gearbox for the golf gt, so i don’t see much difference in a golf gt compared to the gti except for its pricetag

the price for the gti is expensive, might as well get the golf gt, with its renowned super and turbo charged tsi engine, with only a displacement of 1.4 litres, road tax in m’sia won’t be a problem, i’m sure the golf gt will have a smaller price tag…fuel consumption, i guess a 1.4 litre won’t be as thirsty as a 2.0 but power-wise, it’s almost similar in everyday driving…

4G63T; another great example is mini. today it became a luxury item among the riches.oh nway, i love this vw golf gti. it’s package between power, luxury & comfort. but if i can forget abt the luxury & comfort i’d rather go for lancer evo..can beat this golf gti anytime…or maybe like paul sed civic R.

Its the other way around. The GTi has moved upmarket and filled the void left by the old Scirocco and Corrado. The Corrado was an expensive (even of the standards of its time) GT, luxuriously trimmed and home to VWs G60 and VR6 motors, both new “high performance” engine developments for compact cars….and is targeted one step higher up the pecking order.

The GTI isn’t what it once was.

Cheap, fun to drive, involving, lightweight, economical, hatchback. Those were the attributes of the original GTi.

Not that the essence of “GTi” been diluted, but smoothered by “refinement” and isolation, and pempered by leather and electronic gizmos that add little to GTi spirit.

Probably only the Renault Clio 197 comes closest, but still a far cry from the original, CRX and even our own Satria GTi.

love this gti very much..but the price tag is a nightmare.
