there is r&d locally, go to UM engineering, usually there’s a cng-di car parked outside manufacturing workshop.

With four CNG tanks and 130 litres, it is most likely the tanks are hidden beneath the floor of the vehicle, means its four thin and long one rather then a one big and fat one that clog up ur boot space.

Guys! petrol is just an option when there’s not NGV station to refill back. This car engine is not make for petrol running anyway. But imagine if G really go on to the NGV segment on private cars and not only commersial vehicle, there will be alot more of NGV station than a petrol ones.
It’s just matter whether G is willing to pay that risk of sacrifices on Protons or Perodua.
Unless there’s a massive change in these two local company heading into NGV, then we will be having this benifit.

I’m more interested to it’s tank. Pretty big storage compare to our NGV tank which can go only 200+km. WIll it sacrifice boot space for the tank again for audi?

the petrol tank is too shallow, but the 180km range is not bad.

Audi A5 is a two-door coupe, so it would be difficult at the back seat.

excellent engine. hope more carmakers do the exact thing soon.

its 14liters petrol tank not really suitable here… with the current NG stations available, this car surely can’t be a ‘balik kampung’ sort of car. From KL i think no problem to reach East cost such as Kelantan on CNG alone… but if going back to KL, imagine how many time to stop for petrol with a 14liters tank.. i don’t think Kelantan have NG station yet, is it?

but, no problem using in big city if u can afford one.. hehehe.. with 420km mileage using CNG alone I’m sure u will not trap in the long queue with all those taxis much too often

This is a turbocharged engine. It’s already a turbocharged gas-powered engine, but able to make transition with petrol.

hmmm imagine an affordable audi with this engine… and then have to queue up behind taxis at petronas for gas (literally gas, not gasoline)

but seriously.. if this becomes commerciallized i still wouldn’t be able to afford an audi, err can you have turbo with gas though?
