Actually I initially didn’t like the new SL because of its gapping jaw, and oversized emblem. However, this SL has widened flanks which blends very well with the headlights, hence making the whole thing more cohesive.

The back’s alright but then it always seems like the front is wider than the back, giving the impression that it has very slim hips.

Have not seen one in the flesh yet, and perhaps is will look better then……

Seems like the split meters with eyelids/awnings over them is in fashion now, city, lancer, this car uses that design too

The look….it made my mouth waters….damn…. But I think the Nissan GTR has better gear changes than this 63. The 63 sounded slower in upshifting. Watched the GTR onboard video ripping a lap in Nordschliefe. It was way faster than this.
But I’m sure this one won’t make you look gay unlike the 55. Haha! (think JC’s).

Anyway, anyone get the name of the driver? Who is he?

haha, try driving this over our roads here, guarantee the pot holes and illegal speedbumps will give the car a shave and a uppercut.

This car was meant to be over done.
Absurdly over the top, Absurdly quick, Absurdly ostentatious.
And of course absurdly expensive.
The reason why they didn’t use 7 gears is because the power from the engine would rip the gear box apart.

Why the 5 speed automatic gearbox. Doesn’t the SL 63 AMG have the all new 7 speed Multi Clutch Technology (MCT) gearbox?

Paul Tan says: the 7 speed gearbox can’t take the torque of this twin turbocharged engine… the 63 AMG engines are normally aspirated.
