Personally, I think they did a fine job, and also the current A6 does not really look dated to me. The updated car manages to strike a right balance of styling, slotting nicely in between the-ever-sober-and-boring offering of some competing manufacturer and get-out-of-my-way-i'm-fast styling of another.
