It's not as simple as just hiring Peter Schreyer. Backing him up are about 4000+ Hyundai-Kia R&D engineers worldwide. Worldwide network in North & South America, Europe, Middle East, Russia, Asia, etc. giving feedback, etc. Survey companies, web-based technician 24-7 training, etc. In Malaysia people don't see all this and just assume Kia is some backyard company.

English is not his first language is it? Proton does not need to hire him. Just hire Theophilus Chin instead.

doesnt look very original somehow, but then again, there isnt really much originality in car design nowadays.

i actually believe some protons are actually good looking, and have some sense of originality about them.. the gen2 and satria neo are definitely good looking cars.

I have no complaint about the design... looks very good..... I hope there was some budget left over for drivetrain development , Chassis development and R&D etc. Dont want it to be like proton ..... class leading handling but the other aspect of the car lacking.

You will notice now days very hard to find a car which good in every aspect.
For example Vios has a good drivetrain but the design is somewhat lacking.

Front headlamps look a bit like Honda Civic's.

OK lah, sharp but not too agressive styling.

But the attractive Kia Cee'd looks more original in styling I think..

Ou local boys can do better design than this actually. Just look those UiTM students and Proton's R&D studio. The downside is, there is 'invisible' hand who 'kacau' the design. you know what I mean. The people who don't know design but have the power.
