Mercedes-Benz B-Class Facelift

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the facelifted version of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class here in Malaysia. The B-Class was first launched in 2005 and it is just about time for its mid-life facelift, which was unveiled internationally in March this year.

This time around our local B-Class will come with the Active Parking Assist feature which will help you parallel park the car. As you drive along the road at speeds of below 35km/h, the Active Parking Assist will look for a suitable spot by the side of the road using ultrasonic sensors. A message will be shown when a suitable spot has been found.

You can then shift into reverse, confirm that you want the car to help you park, the steering wheel will automatically turn to maneuver the B-Class into the parking space. Acceleration and braking is done by the driver. The parking space only has to be 1.3 meters longer than the B-Class for it to do this, so it may be able to parallel park better than alot of people!

Other changes include minor styling changes on the exterior and interior,. The audio system also supports loading media from a USB-connected MP3 player or thumb drive.

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz B170 costs RM215,888 in Malaysia. Look after the jump for a hi-res gallery of the car.

Hi Yeah u r right that is why i owned new C Class (W204) for its overall satisfactions.

B Class is fully imported because of the import duty
C Class is buit up in Malaysia that is why the narrow gap in terms of pricing.

      TQ.

this car used to be priced rm200k otr, but it increased price to 215k. price is definitely unattractive and a close family friend bought a b170 brand new last year and had problems with leaky roof

compared to how it is priced in the uk, this car should be slightly cheaper than the GTi..maybe they know that asians are too brand conscious..so might as well 'pow' us nicely…

  16. ALPINA BMW says:

plus, the space is about the same between the merc and gti, and there's the bigger golf plus, now only rm100,000(becos cannot sell now on fire sale)

Do not understand why people are comparing this with GTI?

If you were to buy Golf GTI, I guess there are more cars much better than it, e.g. Mini Cooper etc.

I would think that people who are willing to buy this will not even put the performance into consideration, they may be want something nice to handle.

Like guy said, the grapes are very sour indeed; if you are unable to get 'em!

    Don't get offended.
