Hello for all...i plan to buy NHC before the end of this year. I noticed the major different between S and E specs is about the Paddle Shift that only available on E specs. My SA told me that from survey conducted from her customers, she found that seldom customer use the Paddle Shift feature during traveling. She advised me to buy S specs if I am not really concern about accessories or added cosmetics. Referring to the car review from various E specs owner, the fact is that the Paddle Shift is very useful during escaping corner in short time...and that will make saver fuel consumption rather than using D mode in gear. Some claimed that for long travel especially for uphill and downhill purpose, it is better to use S mode in gear for better FC. Is that true for all review facts??? I am in confuse now...... I hope any E specs owner can explain in details here for assisting me in making decision...... S or E, E or S.....huhu confuse for all time......... Thanks :D

I've test drive New CT..
I have read all comment about it ( and make me confiused ).. gud or bad..
So, I make a list on it..

1. the exterior I think is great, hi-tech+modern+sporty on design statement. got lots of rigid and sharp line.. some of it u can see in defferent angle..

2. Smooth handling. a little bumpy..but have a quite engine (only when crusing) (biasa la auto) gud for me for long distance drive ( balik kampung) rather driving My Viva.

3. the interior is ok (not relate to d ex.. why aa? ).. obvios on audio dashboard panel. but is still ok..meter ar also a bit small. waja cps is better. door panel is great.. power window just like my viva ( hv 2 crfulll on rainy day. space is gud, nice n neat. hmmm the headrest is like darf vader helmet from behind?!

4. not gud for kaki lenjan n racing (sometimes like to do that too with my proton). but xpala kot. .

5. Tips shift is like playing PS2 (grandturismo or mostwanted) ah best gilerr..

6. My dream car is Lancer n Civic.. but can't affort it.. but this new CT is just the thing i need (affodable n have style).

7. hopefully New CT is good choice for me.. already booked laa..

Honda M'sia must ensure that its maintainence and parts are reasonably priced if not cheaper than Toyota or other make , especially gear box and engine parts , for it is a established good brand ,make less $ and it will beat other competitors in its category ! Think long term is what it needs to do .

So far , the City 08 model that I drive is sfsg, fuel consumption is quite ok ,heard about the gear box but Auto Writers said City is good for city driving and not for racing and rough ride , people got into gear box trouble bcos of their rough and make my day kind of rough driving style ,u know .....those Jin that vrooooom their car and speed like nobody's problem.

OpenMind: Honda won't laugh all the way to the bank. The profit they make per car is still the same. It's the AP holders and the primary distributors of Honda cars in M'sia will be making the money.

I think the funniest thing in Malaysian is that despite that our per capita income is much less than all developed countries but our purchasing power seems to on a totally different track.

Many had expressed as tough RM85k for this new city is a steal....

Come on people, do a quick googling, you will find that the price for a civic is only about RM50k in many countries and we are here more than willing to buy a city for RM85k perhaps with wait period of about 3-4 months.

I know that we can't compare directly. But the fact that openly tell of the price that you are willing to pay is just too naive (the fact that your proposed price is much higher, and believe me Honda will be laughing all the way tot the bank).

Anyway, with the global car sales dropping and coupled with the current economy situation, most car manufacturers already fnding way to cut cost and increase sales. I guess Malaysia will be they no. 1 market looking at the great profit margin and low expectation of their car buyer.

Good Luck Malaysia.

I paid 2k and prebooked this City today..the sales rep told me it comes in 2 ranges in M'sia, different with ~5k, surprisingly both comes in BLACK interiors (instead of 1beige 1black), main differences are the fog lights, flip-over of the back-seats, and silver-lining on the steering, etc..Sadly, both ranges come with the MONOLOG-look audio system, instead of the digital-button (she said that was europe's)..In M'sia, it comes with 5 colours: silver, black, polished metal, blue, and beige gold only..(white and red NOT)..Those WHITE-fans maybe can wait for 1 year so like the VIOS? FYI, they estimated the price for the higher spec will be RM93,800 (RM89k to RM94.5k) and RM85-88k for the lower spec..oh ya, she said it will consumed more petrol than the previous version..(sounds bad)!..haha..still I trying to convience myself with the decision to book it!

i think this city is very impressive, but for 1 year only, it will be the same method like civic and accord, just make big impact for 1 year and after that we find that those design is too much...let see how it made, what material, what the engine spec, gearbox type, and most of it, fuel economy...18 km per liter at highway?? what is the speed range? 80 kmh? no air-cond, single driver?? will u buy this car at almost 90k n not enjoying the maximum engine torque and horse power??? not to say drive at 180 kmh, how about 120 or 110 kmh? will it about 15 km per liter like vios?????thank stan!
