Err.. where u get the RM68k from?
Waja Premium CPS not even RM65kOTR in Peninsular Msia including excise and sales tax. Tax free in Langkawi only RM56k.

Has anyone ever thought that the new proton MPV would be just a rebadged mitsubishi grandis? Go google the car and see. It has all the simliarities of the car from the front headlamps to the led lights at the back.

Rebadge Mitsu Grandis?….Wow, I want one if it’s price at 60-80K…A cheaper Grandis would definately be greater than a totally new product by P1(u know ler)……Proven design/reliable + all the bugs had been taken care off…would want the diesel engine as per UK spec, very gud review & frugal

Proton cars are being tax like other makes. I guess only Saga (new) is not being taxed, because it is priced for Basic at 31k. I don’t understand why the G still imposed tax on most of Proton’s car where it has a direct investment through Khazanah, Petronas and EPF.

I remember when i bought Satria (brand new) in 2001, the quotation I received clearly shows it is being taxed. On the road price include tax and sales duty.

Waja MT without tax is RM42,813.53, Excise Duty is RM6,379.50 and sales tax
is RM3,771.32 while on the road price is at RM56,108.55.
Compare RM64K (no tax – Altis) with RM42K (no tax – Waja), Which one is cheaper? I’m talking about Waja
1.6MT the older one not the CPS version which is priced at RM61K (with tax). You can
calculate how much is the Excise Duty and sales tax imposed on the CPS
version manually.
No need to go to Langkawi to know the price without tax (for Proton’s car). Get it on the net.

So, stop assuming all the Proton’s car are not being taxed in Malaysia. It is baseless assumption.

And for Proton Management/Sales, please quote the price clearly in any of your brochure or price list to indicate the tax and the price without tax. So people will know exactly what is the real thing about the price of Proton’s car, so as to eliminate blind assumption towards Proton Car’s Price. Currently I can see most of the brochure do not state the tax clearly.

It was niomr1 who first mention Honda Civic. Not me. RM68k and 56k is big difference. That is why I reply.

Altis 1.6 price is RM64k++ in Langkawi. Why u say RM60k? For RM8k less and better spec, I think some will still choose Waja.

The connectors (for wiring purposes) that will be used in this mpv will be the same as those used on Toyota. TYCO.

No power window problem i guess. God i miss that.
