I think Malaysian should wake up to the fact that China is a country who worships science and technology. Their product quality is improving very fast. The car manufacturer, BYD, is only five years in car industry, it F3 model is the best seller for the October 2008, and it is launching the world first dual mode car F3DM at the end of November 2008.

For the Chery Tiggo, it has been in the China market for more than two years. The car is quite proven and it is value for money when it is locally assembled.

this SUV is selling well in singapore, called T11,have 1.6 and 2.0, can be seen quite often on the road, received plenty positive comments from users, though personally feel that the design is plagarised from previous generation toyota rav4

Please remember the time when they flood our market with ‘comel’, ‘nitro’ and JRD bike & scooters. Yeah, rm2.5k EX5-like seems very affordable huh.

Later we have all sorts of problem with their bike. Hard to start, scooter belt snap in the middle of nowhere, all lights and lenses turn to yellow after few months.

Its the material where they cut the most. They also tried that on their milk recently but they failed.

There’s no room for dishonest businessman here.

whats the diff between skd and ckd.

i did own a china car before. it’s an LMG.

and good god, assembly is pretty bad. gaps in between exterior panels is pretty darn obvious. but look from far far, like 1km away, it will look nice.

Designwise…looks dumpy. Btw, China’s car has one strength.. the unbeatable price at the moment. Others like reliability, quality, performance, handling..questionable. One of my neighbour own a sedan Cherry once complain about the rough ride, engine noise and built quality after a year.

such an insult to proton to be comparing it with chery……hv anyone seen chery build quality…i have..their a180 sedan or sumthin…god..hd nvr seen such terrible build quality in my life b4…for nw,,,i will stick away from chery or any chinese cars…n their milk, n their vegetables, and their meat n their food products, n for my pet, it is made in malaysia or indonesia pet food…

can we compare this Chery statistics with both Proton and Perodua ?

Chery is currently the number 1 exporter of passenger vehicles in China, with vehicles from the company making up nearly 50% of China’s vehicle exports in the first 9 months of 2008. It has exported 115,500 vehicles this year so far, and exported 119,800 units during the whole of 2007.

i have used the new Chery MPV 2.4 made in China and have nothing but praises for the MPV.
also the price paid for the Chery Eastar at RM 80,000 is so cheap.

sorry i don’t have kids yet, yes i agree with the milk powder scare right now, but you need not say that other products are zero on quality, that’s stereotypical thinking at its worst (most ridiculous), claiming everything also have problems, then if you are so sensitive about your car, why show it in the first place? as a whole, you are critical about china, don’t kid yourself again…
