Here we go, leaked official product photos of the Porsche Panamera. But seriously, I’m pretty sure everyone could already imagine how it’d look like before this unveiling.
I understand the refusal to change the looks of the 911 because of heritage but this is an all-new model. Is it really necessary to make it look like teh designers stretched a 911 and added another two doors?
Still, like the Cayenne, there will many who will buy it just because it’s a Porsche. It will be interesting to wait for the various motoring press to report if it drives like one as well.

Front is OK, not too bad. But the rear is absolutely nasty. From the side view it looks like a wagon. old Kia Rio? Should have made it into a 3 box sedan or something like the Lambo. At least add a big spoiler to get rid of the sloping look.
Porsche Wagon.
Who knows maybe in a few years time, Porsche might even produce a compact car, something like P.Kelisa or MyVi!! Mini Porsche!! Arghhh….
The C-pillar from side-profile of the car looks hideous!!!
This is gonna take a little getting used to. I hope. Just like the Chris Bangle’s 1st generation 7-series.
Porsche engineers are obviously bored and unmotivated already. Just lsap two bits together and spend more time deciding on what to call it.
Looks like an elongated 911 but with nicely designed cosmetics to make it look unique. The last time Porsche made a weird looking car, it brought in enough money to take control of VW!
When saw the 1st photo it feels like “ohh,nicee…”, but after saw the remaining photo,especially the side photo,the feels become “ohh,sh*t…….”…keke…
Porsche’s recent designs are… quite painful to my eyes. And the endless facelifts the 911, Boxster and Caymen receives is just downright confusing.
This fastback design worked so well on the Bugatti EB118 concept. Here, it looks like a badly soiled diaper… OVER-ABSORBED DIAPER.
I don’t know about you guys but the headlight just stares at you.
Which isn’t a good thing. Waited so long and this is the final design? Oh no.
stationwagon look-a-like?
I think it looks gorgeous… it’s a car that doesn’t try to conform to the norm. It’s a porsche and it doesn’t hide that fact =)

Still will do well though, and i’d say the engine will be a stonker.
The rear end does seem a bit odd. I think it would have been better if the rear portion a bit long & slender.
This one yup, almost close to a stationwagon.
Knowing Porsche, this will be a very well engineered product that will sell by the droves, much like the Fugly Cayenne.
Indeed the front looks very typical Porsche but the back seems to ring “Hunchback of Notre Dame”.
It should be cheaper than the other rivals but it won’t be as exclusive. Think Aston Rapide, Lambo Etoque and even Maserati quattroporte ?

The front is nice, sharing its dna with rest of the porsche family especially with the Carrera GT…. but whats the point of having the rear looking like a 911?
The 911 looks the way it does because it’s form follows the engineering beneath it. The 911′s rear engine dictated how it looked.
For crying out loud, this is front engined ….
It just doen’t look as good as the rest of the coupe sedan competition.
The Aston Rapide will still be the best looing of th ebunch, when they decide to build it.
Yup, Porsche should have avoided the fastback design, just not suitable for a 4-door saloon.

well… i guess it needs time for us to like the car… most Porsches nowadays are like tat… yes, im talking bout the Cayenne. After a moment of looking at this car, i start to like the curve and shape… its not a bad looking car after all… it can be a wagon if u like, it can also be a huge 911 if u like, it can also be a executive sedan too… “different angle speaks a different story”, i think Porsche is successful in delivering such message…
i would describe is as a boring design, while others might use the term “trademarks”.

i think the designer has limited flexibility to design panamera pehaps it might uses existing VW platform

secondly, does anyone think that this looks a lot like a chevy corvette or maybe one of ferrari’s creation. 599 maybe? Side profile really weird, maybe because the length of the car. Looks like adults can fit into the rear seats
