to a certain extent I agree with autojohndoe. definitely.. besides arab countries especially saudi they dont hav to worry about FC because oil is as cheap as sand. in msia mayb the arab students try to blend in, study here, eat the local food and buy local cars. talking bout full package haha. other than that i think proton cars are unique by the fact that you hardly can find it elsewhere. so why buy the ordinary ‘working’ japanese cars.

-They buy Protons cause the cheapest new car can get with cash, and food and accomodation for them in Malaysia is better cause comparing it with Middle East just like comparing earth and heaven. Somehow Proton have good perception on Islamic country..

As long as the Pak Arab buy the protons, it makes money to us, right? my parent who went to Haj last year told me that those idiotic Pak Arab were never appreciate their rides, no matter what car. wether it, H, T, GM, Merc, BM, Audi etc (u name it), they never care for them. my parents said their cars are having big dents here and there, and never got washed. maybe because their driving attitude is a lot harsh and water is more expensive than fuel i guess :p

At Nottingham Semenyih oso got a lot of Arab students driving Gen2 n Vios n all.

But I hv to say, if we think our driver is bad enuf, wait until u see how they drive. Surely enuf, I think they hardly maintain their car at all aside from filling up the fuel tank.

chery, u’re chery in motortrader also rite? Bwahahahaha, u tink the car brand u worship is better off than proton? Why not recommend ur arab unimates to buy chery? Then come here n tell us their comment on chery pula!!

i think those arab students are from Multimedia University. I’m in Multimedia University melaka campus and the same thing happen too. I have one Arab friend who used to own a Gen2. Since they cannot take load from the bank, they need to buy with cash. And of course they have to buy Protons. I ask his experiance bout the care and he told me is a nightmare for him. He said most of his friends bought a Gen2 as well bcos it looks good in the first place. The car gives him so mush trouble so he had sold it off.

and then get another one for another weekend since proton has above average handling..hehe..

these arab people even get G allowance if they get married or have kids..

my arab friend also is driving a Waja and his wife driving a Gen2!!
and they love their proton alot!!

people there can just afford to chuck a BMW on the road side and buy a new one.

i’m sure all of us seen pictures of BMW drifting, ferraris and bentleys all around the country.

I don’t know why but if you ever reach Cyberjaya area, you can see a lot of Arab student driving Proton made cars(mostly Gen-2s). They have the spending power to buy others but still they buy Proton. Hmm… Wonder why…? Hopefully Proton will do good in Arab land as they are with the Arabs student..
