as long as this revolutionary design auto-trans has minimal parasitic power/torque loss on the engine and low manufacturing cost compares to CVT or torque-converter autos.
these are ideally suited to the development of low cost autos much needed for the low cost cars required for emerging markets.

anyway russians are well known to develop robust machinery like the T-34 battle tank and its later variant.

I think is a normal auto gb, but it does not use the usual torque converter found in most Auto gb. It uses something like start-up clutch..

As i estimated, China car manufacturer are going futher & futher… I dont want to mention what name, but for our local manufacturer how? Ppl dare to buy and use better technology, is time someone to change his big headed mind and start collaborate with others for better technology, before we are eaten alive by China market for another 5-10 years time…

from the graph, it doesnt looks like dsg, its just auto gb with torque converter replaced by some sort of brake between cogs. so in 1st gear, u c in the graph 1st part moves but all the rest in the rear doesnt, not like usual torque converter which all planetary gears moves around, when gear selected it just lock on, but still all gears hv to move around, thus more work..

paul, this design looks like its gona hv less power loss than conventional auto box with torque converter. m i right?
