try to compare the latest cefiro looking, and latest mercedes S class looking… hahahaha

it looks quite nice ..
but it jus prove that koreans are another bunch of copycat ..

and i dun think it has all those mercedes or bmw luxury equipment inside a car ..

i think this car is more on showing-off, and it will not perform that well as neither 5 series, 7 series, nor s-class ..

its toyota actually who built the ls400, and it took 5 years, and the lexus brand was only approved 1 year before the completion of the project.

5 years development time in the 80’s is not considered particularly long for a completely new model. in the 80’s computers were no where like what we have now. today, toyota has the ability and resources to go from drawing board to completed car in 1 year if they wanted to.

i doubt hyundai can compete with s-class,7-series,LS…i mean Azera is to compete with e-class, 5 series,GS,ES..yet the interior is damn lousy..in fact the camry has a better interior than azera altho the camry is in a lower category..

hyundai just lacks of originality…no passion..

Taking lights from Current Accord/Lexus IS + front grille from Ssanyong will not turn heads. If Hyundai can design the Cee’d which is a beautiful car (from europe), how come car design from HQ looks a bit stale?

Maybe need to put head of design from europe to Korea

LCY is correct. Hyundai and the rest of the Korean brands are coming out with scores of outrageous designs that sometimes mimicks the branded marques, but they lacked technology advancement. Being one of the leader in the electronic world, we would expect the Korean cars to be well equiped with electronic gadgets for engine performance and as well as safety. But it is very lacking in this area. It rather shout out loud on designs and muted silence in technologies.
No doubt that someday soon, the Koreans will be announcing their most advanced car in the world that matches the Germans, but will the current trend of cosmetic dressing ruined its chances later in terms of real technology?

well , they can only compete in terms of price and size only .
even for lexus , it took them such a long time to compete against the mercedes level . that explains quite well.
for nissan itself , the nissan brand is established and it also took them quite some time to compete with mercedes and bmw .
even for Audi, and Volkswagon, they had problem in challenging the brother flagship S-klasse and 7-series . the phaeton and the A8 series .

at that level, what it sells is actually the tradition and the brand. it might be good for them to start off at this level because in antoher 100 years , the age gap of hyundai and mercedes will be different.

what matters is the technology, the tradition etc . at that level . i still remember that toyota planned to produce a rolls-royce killer , which is a bad move as the Mercedes Maybach with such a good and well background can’t even sell to half the units that rolls royce has sold.

in my opinion , it would be better for them to think of the future technology. which in the future they would pioneer in . so far , ican only see honda in the brighter side.

i hate hyundai and kia becoz they are nothing but copy cats… its time for them to find their own direction… come on, what’s up with the mercedez design. Hyundai and Kia are international car companies, unlike the Chinese car maker which are mostly based in China alone, shouldn’t Hyundai and Kia be more ‘responsible’
