congratz coz will get a cps soon.. as i can see, if u really love this car u will adjust ur body to fit in this car.haha... my frend got 182 cm but still can drive this car and really enjoy with the car. his head really near to the roof and sometimes will touch the roof(inside).

because of the shape aerodinamic, i think the sharp curve is only at the front of cps but at the middle u still got space for ur height since u can adjust the seat base on ur length. hehe...

however u will get a little problem if u are too big means that heavy weight.hahaha...

nway i am the one neo cps user (white one). already used for one year n mileage already 34000km. travel to all peninsular with this car and never disappointed myself to play around with ek or eg but still use our mind to beat them..haha..(macam racer je walhal beginner jek)...

Enjoy with the car....go go go proton... ;-)

6500k is just enough becoz that is the peak hp, more than that, overrev, loose power n summore may shortened the engine life span(this apply to all normal roadcar out there)

i owned a Supra JZA80 Manual twin-turbo with mods and yet enjoy my NeoCPS handling and fun-car - so to all bashers out there, please own one before putting your views to words. You may just have missed out the 'real' gem that comes in this RM56K package.

Imagine if this Neo were to be sold under a different Japanese badge

As for now, IMHO, unless you are willing to spend few hundred K for a fun car, this is the best value you can get. Heck, I have owed EVOs 7-8-9 and had not found this little fun-car so endearing to 'drive' around. Ask any high-performance Jap sport sedan owner, they will understand the feeling. Being challenge on every traffic lights, difficult to park at peace for fear of being smashed for DEFI meters or any carbonfibre add-ons, etc.

Of course, for practicality, even Myvi, Vios, City, 207, Fiesta, etc will be a better choice.
Remember, you only live once, and if you are a 'driver' - a person that enjoys driving - Neo / NeoCPS deserved to be parked at your porch.

intake system normally has a fixed runner. but for vim, it has 2 runners, it is used to promote air to the combustion chamber. the benefits of vim that it flatten the torque curve, the same task of vvt which vvt is a complex mechanism while vim is simpler but gives out the same result.
u wont feel any surge like cps activation, but u will feel linear power after 4800 until the redline becoz the torque curve will be linear, compare to a car without vim but with cps or vvtl or vtech or mivec where after the peak torque, the torque it will drop tremendously so that the surge is only temporary when the lift mechanism activated. that is why valvematic engine by toyota has vvt and vvtl becoz vvtl give out power (hp) while vvt help to flatten the torque curve (nm). this already apply by proton cps engine but using different method that is cps and vim. but of course only on intake part only to reduce cost and emmision. while vvt has the advantage on emmision part.

its the side mirror..if you noticed, there's a space at the side mirror ..its very small..there the whistling sound came from..i have the same problem with my car..what you can do is just close the opening where the air can flow..but for me i just ignore it..because when the whistling sound comes its already 120km/h and the engine already starts to roar!!hehe..

jerking problem? i did an experiment..im currently use shell RON 95 (different company has different quality of petrol)..but sometimes i use V power, just for fun..when i change the petrol, the jerking gone!!! i dont know..im not an expert in this..but maybe because of the smoothness of the petrol, my car also runs very smooth..no jerking at all..

cps system change from low lift cam profile to high lift cam profile at 4400 rpm and after that, vim(variable intake manifold) change from long runner to short runner at 4800 rpm to provide the engine with more air to complement cps and thats why u have a nearly flatter torque graph until 6500rpm(the peak horsepower)

i hope that it clears things up about cps activetion

I got my new neo CPS 3 weeks ago and alreadi gone thru 1st service. I complains about jerking at 2-3 rpm and they solved it by tuning the engine but then jerking appeared at lower rpm. sigh~ Gonna complain again in the next service including rattling from the dashboard.
Already tested CPS activation several times and the feeling is very good !
My car is still new, mileage just 1.5k, already hit 160kmh, and engine rpm up to 6k.
It is good or bad usage eh? Im afraid my car will die sooner than expected. Do i really need to wait for mileage 5k ++ or 10k++ then i can push the limit? huuu ~

Im also a Neo CPS MT owner. Its clutch not so hard and I think its better than my previous kancil's clutch (850cc). So no problem to drive MT in traffic jams, plus, if you know when to play handbrake. Thats what i called real driving experience. =p

Im a Neo CPS MT owner. Its not tat hard if u knw how. I'm not a very xperiencd one, but for me, I usually accelerate a lil n put it into free gear to let the car roll for the remaining distance. Safes fuel and trouble of holding the clutch all the time.
