its a 2 litre diesel. they usually dont make high hp because of the character of the diesel engine.. this car probably revs no more than 4500rpm. The important thing about a diesel is the torque, and this car makes more torque than the new M3.

but why did you say at last? 3 series alpina? they've been making 3 series alpinas for more than 20 years now.

you are right. alpina is the only one that shares warranty with bmw. they actually buy the cars from bmw directly, and re-registers them as "alpina" cars. also in europe, alpina's tend to have better value, due to the fact that they are usually quite rare, and well sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
